Then the price should reflect that.

The information that I received in 2012 stated Tubi gives a 2 year warranty from purchase.

I assume you are being sarcastic. Sorry but this forum is ripe with that. First I suggest you try this new internet thing called google. It's fantastic and easy to use. Let's start with Fabspeed. Quality product. Goetz enterprises can build them under 3G. There is another company that takes your factory headers apart. Builds stainless steel headers with a life time warrantee restores the the clamshells puts it all back together. With shipping under $3500. I will send you link. I'm on iPhone now

Sorry I assumed wrong. I will send you a link next week to a. Us custom builder. Fabspeed is a reputable product. I have no idea why he would say that not my first choice. But great quality

My mechanic is Scuderia Rampante ( Dave Helms) I trust his judgement.

My shop also refused to install those due to fitment and quality issues. When I bought my Tubis they were only about $4500 or thereabouts. Price increase is a bummer but that's one area I wouldn't skimp.

There is no other mechanic I trust or respect on this forum as much as Dave Helms.

I was in top tear racing for 40+ with FIA/WEC/IMSA and would have hired him in a heart beat to work on any of our race cars.

Dave personally guided me into new OEM headers and hyperflow cats. I respect his advice implicitly.

I have it on a good source that Dave recently acquired for himself a 355. Oh, and it is a spider.

New Tubi headers from a supplier here in Oz are less than US$6k, which is about US$2450 more than Fabspeeds from the same supplier.

I have nothing at all against Fabspeed, I just don't want a 4-1 header, so when the time comes (probably next year) it will be Tubis all the way.

    yes
If you are willing to go that far, you might as well have a custom set of headers made with the right materials (such as 321 or 347 Stainless) with real merge collectors in place of the pinched box collectors. Cost will be similar to Tubis. And you can use tube sizes that actually flow more exhaust gas.

Well, I may have a chance to buy a set of oem headers for around $1K both sides.

I know some pretty good welders who will cut the shields off and put them back on gratis.

Ceramic coating seems to run around $300 - $400.

The only other thing I'm not sure about would how to go about replacing the stuffing in the clamshells and what material to use.

    Any suggestions?

Who told you that I installed mine two years ago and I am pretty sure they said lifetime warranty. To original owner that is.
