I remember last season, after Alonso won the Championship, there were a lot of sentiments expressed that he wasn't a "worthy" or "true" champion. That being said, what would your opinion be if Fisichella were to get lucky and put together a championship run? What would the reaction be?

That he was lucky to win the WDC. I think Fisi is awesome in poor cars but not that special in a championship car under the pressure of the world media and his own demons. He is too weak up in the noggin.

I dont think Alonso was lucky at all. He has the talent, the speed, the racing brain, the mental composure ... all the necessary ingredients of a champion. Kimi is marginally faster but makes more mistakes.

I don't think there would be anything "lucky" about Fisi putting together a championship run. Unless you take into account that his car actually being reliable is "lucky." IMO anyone who's able to win the championship is deserving. Last year Alonso got a lot of breaks in his bid for the title. So did Prost, Lauda and a whole other number of drivers. Luck certainly plays a part but a driver must grab the advantage where it’s given in order to win the title.

I’d love to see Fisi win it.

First I don't see that happen, but stranger things happened in 1982, so never say never.

ANYBODY who wins the title deserves the title (yes, even Keke). I'd bow my head to the new champ Fisico.

As for those saying Alonso didn't deserve it: Hello! Why? He won more races than anybody else, kept his cool and the car together. And didn't even win by a whisker, but by a huge margin. On top of that it was the car he developed over the previous two years. I can't see anything "non worthy" in that.

But those who haven't seen Alonso's obvious talent and racing skill will have a rude awakening when he'll be crowned champion a 2nd time this year. It'll happen.
