I-81/83 Road Conditions - F-car friendly ?

    Hi,

    I am thinking of a minor road trip up I-81 and I-83 north of York, through Harrisburg, and almost to Hazleton to visit family. A year or more ago when I traveled that area it seemed that there was a bit of construction and some rough patches of road. Anybody been there recently and can comment if the roadways are now more friendly to low cars such as the Ferrari ? Would be travelling on a weekend and most likely early in the morning.     Hi Mike-

    Just ran that stretch twice in the last couple of months in a Ferrari caravan and with the Lambo.... not terrible but it does have a couple of rough areas. Overall no showstoppers. There was only one construction area that even really slowed traffic at that time.

    Thanks. I was most concerned about dragging the nose or bottom on rough pavement, and/or getting gravel or sotnes kicked up from constructions sites. I'll most likely be travelling during light traffic hours in the early AM.

    There's still some construction around the Harrisburg area on I-81 but its a lot better then it was in the past. Supposedly they are almost done with everything. Most of the rough patches in the construction area have been fixed and the biggest problem are the temporary lanes around some bridges, they just sorta tacked on another lane on the shoulder, so the quality of that one is rough.

    Steve - Did that caravan of Ferraris go through the Harrisburg/Central PA area?
