    Ceasar is a ruler type person yes, but it originated from the still used today word Czar.....in other words, whoever thought they were a ruler guy, is owed some money

    Julius, Augustus... etc were all from the Ceasar family.. Who's original trade was making salad dressings.. They made so much money from the dressing business that they decided to take over all of the "East" for spices etc..

    No, Czar came from Caesar. So did Tsar and Kaiser.

    Yes, webbypssht is right. Caesar became a title (similar to Emperor) after Julius Caesar rose to power at the end of the Roman Republic.

    And yes, it does happen to be my favorite salad dressing... especially when my mother makes it...
