I did a mind blowing drive today from Moorpark to Ojai!!

I assume you went the back way to Ojai. I did that same drive from Somis up Balcom Canyon to Ojai a couple weeks ago. Fun trip!

 

Yes I went the back way.

It was Moorpark through Santa Paula.

That whole general area has some mega roads!!

Any action pics? Back east we have many fantastic roads all along the Appalachian mountain chain. From Georgia, all along the TN / NC border, and up into VA and WV. One is so good they have photographers lining the sides shooting and selling their pics........ Those were my stomping grounds during the early to mid year lockdowns. Not a car on the backroads. We had some epic drives in Perf vs SVJ63

 

They would be great on those roads!!

I am looking forward to getting back up there.

I have a place located in central LA between Culver City and West Hollywood which has over 500 Espresso machines, a 16 car car park so we could definitely do a cars and coffee then go for a drive.

I live in Chicago but go to SoCal often as I have family there. I shipped my 458 out there this year to drive. Will bring 718 GT4 next time and definitely hit you up!

I would love to but I gotta tell you the ER in LA right now is literally what we saw in NY a year ago. This is literally out of hand. A war zone.

 

I don’t doubt that in the slightest however I am sure we can socially distance and there is no risk for the driving side of things.

Hey, Condor, by the way, are you thinking about changing the exhaust taking out the gpf of the gt4? my spyder just arrived. The noise, even though it's NA engine, is so.... muffled!

 

Not Condor, but I’ve got a 718 GT4 as well.

Deleted the valves day 1, but it still doesn’t sound great. Considered getting Akrapovic OPF delete, but that introduces a lot of drone if you keep OEM muffler.

I might do full valved Kline system including headers with 200 cell cats. Will post impressions once installed.

 

thanks. I have also been looking at the rennlist too but I figure the baseline comparison of that cohort is different from us as Ferrari owners. Not sounding like a elitist, I don't know how to interpret the observation when they say now the exhaust is so better than their mustang with new exhaust. Of course, I don't expect it sounds anything like the NA engines of Ferrari, but it sound quite underwhelming, even compared by my last few porsche GT3 and GT4...

 

Different crowd for sure. I don’t go on RL much anymore. And no Porsche short of a CGT or 918 touches Ferrari imo. My stock 458 with valve delete sounded better than even modded GT3 and GT4. Ferrari V12 in another league all together.

But I think both companies make stellar driving machines, so it’s easy to justify having them in the garage.

Did you say espresso and 16 car parking? I am in!. It will likely have to be in the GT2, F8 is finally released and will pick p this Saturday. But from dealer it will go directly to Costa Mesa for my car guy to do his magic (paint correction, PPF and Ceramic as well as other details).

Throw a few dates and where the majority selects, that day can be arranged. I can also see if some of my buddies can come as well.
