My wife wasn't too exited about the idea of me getting the car so I had to negiotate with her. She wants many things done around the house and I agreed with her so I am getting the Diablo that cost less to find a happy medium. I was going to get a Yellow 1994 Diablo VT, but decided against it based off my budget. I hope I am not going to regret it. I am getting a 1992 Black Diablo with up to date major service done. I am not too crazy about the white seats and I have new black carpet coming in to replace the brown carpet...but other than that, the car looks clean and got a deal on it for $85K with 18,000 miles on it. I had a leak down done on the car and it came back 3-5% loss per cylinder. I think that's pretty good. It's my first Diablo so I didn't want to spend all my allowed budget on the car. I have enough left over that I can pick up some nice wheels and do some other cool things to it. I am going to get a quicksilver exhaust for it and make that Diablo as loud as possible! LOL! What you think?

    Here's some pics.

PS....Does the 1992 need the chain tensioner upgrade?

Did you have a Lambo dealer or independent shop do a PPI? I would not trust a Dodge dealership to do it any further than I could throw them. $85K sounds too cheap. There has to be a catch besides the ugly carpet.

I'd throw on some Murci rims and exhaust and take off that Fast/Furious wing. As long as it mechanically sound, should be good to go after that.

I trust these guys at the dealer. The previous owner was a Viperclub Member. I know Mike who is the owner of the dodge dealer there as well as many people in that area....These guys are honest people.

That doesn't make them Lambo people, if there is something wrong with the car that's not to their knowledge you're still stuck with the repair bill. Would you buy a Rolex from Wal-Mart if your friend worked there?

On a side note congratulations on the purchase, car looks great!

yeah, I know this does not make them Lambo people, but I have talked to many Lambo people before making my decisions. I have talked to "lambo delaers" and they all seemed to have an attitude or really didn't have the time of day....what's funny...most of the people I talked to don't know a lot about the Lambos. They just know their commissions. But anyways...I called many of the reciepts that were faxed over to me and they all checked out. My next lambo I want to get after I have fun with this one is the Roadster...hopefully the price will come down a little when I am ready.

Congratulations on the purchase. Diablos are fabulous cars. FWIW I think you will enjoy this car more than a VT.

    Enjoy

Thanks Roy, Sorry to make you do all the running around, but you may have my future business...I just wish there was something in your inventory that matched my budget. You definitely are one of the guys who took some time and wasn't a snot like some of the other Lambo dealers I talked to. Keep in touch!

Congratulations on the car, for awhile now I have been admiring the '92-'94 Diablos more than other models...Not sure what it is about the older bodystyle but I love it:cool:

Don't know why you feel you are buying a lesser car- in fact, I think Ralph here is a big advocate of the early ones. Agree with your take on the brown carpets, though. Black will look much snappier. Oh, black cars!
    Enjoy that beast. :)

Car looks great! When do you get it? $85k for a Diablo sounds like you got a great deal! You will have to bring it to the meet on 4/22.

Awsome car...welcome to the dark side...at least it didn't cost you a new house. I agree it's a great price to pay for the 200mph club! The underside looks very clean.

BTY no matter what others say, the rear wing is awsome!!
