Hard life but someone has to do it LOL I belive the saying was "LET THEM EAT CAKE" But I think one person may have to have Kool-Aid with that!! All I can say is thanks dad for starting the business almost 50 years ago and all that still purchase our "Snake Oil"
And they're lookin' quite good !!!! George - Check out the NY/Tri-State section. There's a guy looking for a 88.5-91 TR, and he started a thread titled "Looking for a 88.5-91 TR". I posted that he should contact you about your TR. But you might want to throw a post in there with a pic or two, and tell him that yours is for sale!! Ya never know, it might just lead to a sale
Thanks for the NY lead, to far for him to travel. Idaho had his buyer walk away so he is still trying to raise the money. I think I will give it till next Monday if he is a no go then I will probably take the lower than I want offer. I found what I want to purchase and gave them the deposit now all I have to do is make ROOM for it. The other TR in town is not for sale YET, I think one more speeding ticket and that will be it. Drove a Viper Saturday, now that was FUN!!
Just wait until someone wants Classiche certification on the car! Doesn't get interesting until then! CW
Sorry for the plug. Anyway, www.leatherique.com and look under distributors. You will see him on the First page.
Thanks, looks like the TR will become a trade in on a Class "A" motor home. Found one that will pull the trailer with the Rolls in it that way we can start going to shows and TAKE a car instead of always the business truck. The wife's "E" type will get the featured treatment unless I get an older RR or Bentley. Ferrari was fun but time to move on. Heck it lasted the longest of all my special toys. Had a Lambo for 3 months, TVR Vixen for 6 months and a couple of other toys like that. Oh well back to the grind. Do not want anymore nasty Pm's about being poor and broke and living in a card board box
Dear Ferraristi, Maybe you should get a nasty pmail from Crockett and Tubbs for trading the "Vice " car for a ...a....TRAILER / MOTOR HOME !!! .....OH THE HUMANITY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey, what do you mean the Lambo only lasted 3 months !?!?!?? Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice !
Did not like it. Probably the most unfriendly car I ever had. Back in those days it was easy to move and exotic. Very few tire kickers. I am having more street driving fun with my 1980 vette than any car I have now.
My unwanted PM fan club of one. Anyway it looks like the car is going to be leaving VERY SOON. Got a good feeling about this one. No phony excuse or I got to sell or I have to talk to the ____ just "Price is fair and the car is what I want see you Friday" Maybe I can close this ride for good. I am to old for this!!!
SOLD!!! $71,000.00. Picking it up in the morning. Funds where transfered to my account. This was a gentlemen who HAD the money and liked the car. Had a Ferrari collector look the car over and told him that the car was as good if not better than new. The fact the car had a Restoration in 2002 was a plus since the car was made back to specs and in some cases better than. This was a wild ride and just shows that if you just WAIT you will get your price. The facts of the trip to sell 1. 11 lookers 2. 4 deposits taken and returned 3. Offers of a, Mustang, Bass Boat in trade 4. 3 wanting me to be the bank and finance the car 5. Insults and verbal abuse over the car and the whole process. It is over and the book is closed.
This experience just confirms how much easier it is to get INTO one of these cars as opposed to getting OUT of. CW
