I have been to your country a couple of times. Tonight I eat my first pie from Vivals (sp). It was good. The bar where I was at had a great sign at the front door. It said that Aussies were welcomed but Kiwies and Brits must have an appointment to enter. It is a friendly place. 12 cylinders or walk

Similarly, while deployed with Aussie Forces, I became totally hooked on Anzac Biscuits. I would now kill to find some here in San Antonio. Vegemite is another story entirely......
you'll be pleased to know that when i werked in food analysis (not eating ) in the mid-90's a balfours square pie was determined to have for every 100 grams of weight, 10 grams of meat. they're still my favourite 'standard' pie!
The "2005 Great Aussie Pie" winner for producing Australias best meat pie was a company called-Village Hot bake, in Dubbo NSW. Has anyone ever tasted one??? They must be very good. Yatala Pies...... yes they do rock......... If you can get to fernvale in the brisbane valley, they have the most incredible venison pies!!!!!!!. No ****ty offal in our pies up here dingo!!!!!
