    Since they Aquired Leica
No company like panasonic is trying this hard to be #1 in CSC..
this camera although not highest in MPX, still is the one to beat..

It looks like CSC will evolve into as qualified as DSLR to go pro with..
What a wonderful time of Tech we live in..

    "Since they Aquired Leica

I'd look at Olympus or sony as more than passing competitors.

"this camera although not highest in MPX, still is the one to beat.."

debatable, for multi use digital and stills perhaps, for strictly photography with Sony sensors seeming still the benchmark and with the OM-D having one and a better IBIS I think you can make good arguments for either.

"It looks like CSC will evolve into as qualified as DSLR to go pro with.."

mirrorless already has it's pro's that have migrated to the format. It's evolved into a very capable system with a lot going for it.

"What a wonderful time of Tech we live in.."

    agreed...

I think sony is the Original Apple, in innovation..however they fall short in Interchangeable lens compacts..
The NEX 7 with its 24 Mpx..is outstanding, I wish I could love it. But its ergonomics are atrocious..its a deck of playing cards with a can of soup stuck in front...just poor grip and feel for such a technological masterpiece.

Olympus too, poor ergo's..Lets forget about pocket size now for no one has an actual pocket cam with interchangeables at pro level....So now lets go with a DSLR format style , except no prism...OK who do we have..
    Panasonic...thats it.
its a race to the finish line for DSLR quality in a lightweight package that most can handle out on the road..
    I stand my ground!

OM-D has no prism either, it's an EVF.

I fully expected you to... ;-)

I think the OM-D will take the new panny to task save the video features that are of little use to me anyway.

It's fully sealed as well and offers better IS and the sony sensor which seems a bit better than the panny sensors which is why Oly jumped to them.

I'd not discount what many have cited as the camera of 2012 even in the face of the d800 and mk II 5d which it really only gives high iso away to.

IQ is all but a wash, the lenses, native primes especially from Oly are exceptional for the system and the panny lenses fill out a very nice range of glass available to shed a lot of weight for a very capable kit.

Panny's very good, I'd argue between Oly and Sony in the mirrorless pecking order as the panny's get lost when people are talking about them around the forums.

Olympus OM-D E-M5 Hands-on Preview by Digital Photography Review - YouTube
This camera shares much of Panny's internals..
It just looks like my first NIKKORMAT, 35mm camera from the 1960"s.
Very conservative, not really that appealing, comparatively..
I like the portrait battery pack on the Pano, it is quite modern Nikonesque.

I guess Oly has gone after the vintage look...
