a 02' Maserati Cambio Coupe in around a week. The car is silver, black leather interior, full navigation, skyhook, etc, it's loaded. The car has 13k 1 owner miles, I paid $59k for it, is that fair?

    Thanks

That is at least $5K to $10K less than what I have seen these cars selling for. Anytime you can buy that much performance for $60K, it is a great deal!!

    Congratulations, sounds like a deal!

Unless it's been wrecked. But I doubt it.

    It's Maserati's computer-controlled handling system.

Always great to hear about another Maserati owner. Price seems about right for an 02 but I have seen lower for that amount of miles. Copley Motor cars

    http://www.copleymotorcars.com/sportscars_n_other5_4.html
has a couple of 2003 with less than half the miles for about $66,000 and I am sure they would do a little better for a quick sale. And with the 2003 you get an extra year of warranty, Or did they give you a full 4 years? Well good luck with the car I am sure you will be happy with it. also not sure if you know about this site but is for newer Maserati's and is also a great place for info

Skyhook is the electronic suspension and handling system. push down on the "sport button" and it makes the suspension stiffer. also if you have the cambiocorsa gearbox, it makes the shifts even quicker. it is not a traction control thing, that is seperate

I see you have a GT also but a coup. I have an 04 Spyder GT and tend not to use the sport button unless I plan on really getting on the car, I do find the ride a little smoother this way. I do hit the MSP button so that I can take off better without traction control interfering as much. So my question is, Does the sport button only speed up the shifts of a camiocorsa so will not make any difference with a GT other than suspension? I know that on M3 SMG the sport button also changed the throttle flow a little

    sport mode =
+ suspension stiffer (if you have skyhook option)
+ gear changes faster (if you have cambiocorsa option)
+ traction control is not interfering in straight lines, so wheel spin if you push too much the gas pedal... ASR or MSP is still present in curves (but can be desactivated with the corresponding button)

I think my response is exhaustive... if not please complete it...

In any case, a Coupé with cambiocorsa and skyhook = two cars in one...

Sport Mode is definately a good thing in a Cambio with Skyhook.

I leave mine in Sport mode all the time. The gear shifts, and clutch engagement, are both much more authoritative. Also, in Sport mode with Skyhook, the ASR lets you kick the tail out about 15 degrees before ending the party.

It is a little scary without ASR on the street, as the car will kick the tail out in a 4th gear bend.

On the street, ASR + Sport mode = Great fun with a safety net at 15 degrees!
