I bet you are talking about Steve Ott? Guy can drive, but pigs can't fly. He was probably lamenting like Kyle Reese in the Terminator: "with these weapons . . . ."

I own both a 458 and GT-R also. Ones my wife, the other my mistress.

Until your drive a GTR, you can't possibly understand how fast and amazing that car really is. IT IS A BEAST. However, that is why I purchased my Scuderia over a McLaren. To me half the joy of a car is the sound and feel. The GTR will beat me and the 458 10 out of 10 times, but I don't care. I get my pleasure from cruising rather than racing or seeing how fast my top speed is. I guess that is also why I spent more money getting a Scud then a regular 430. Who needs leather and comfort. I personally love the "raw" feeling and sound.

That being said, the GTR is a beast but the 458 is fantastic.

I love people that dismiss the GT-R by saying: "It's just a Nissan".

Please go up to the next owner of an LFA you see and tell them: "Nice car, but it's just a Toyota."

People forget/don't realize that Nissan has a VERY rich racing history, probably more than any other Japanese car company.

AR_S, IMO, you are wrong on both your statements. The GTR is much quicker than a 458 and It's faster because IT IS a Nissan GTR and not because AWD. 2014 GTR will do 0-62
    In 2.9 seconds and I believe a 458
Does it in 3.3. When talking supercars, .4 seconds is a big difference. For example, .4 is the difference between your f430 and a BMW M5. Also while Ferrari sits back and sells the same car, Nisaan continues to work to make the car better. The 2008 GTR compared
to the 2013 is completely different. If you take the 2013 GTR vs 2013 458 it will crush the 458 time posted on the last page. A Gallardo and R8 are AWD and they are slower than a 458. The technology, engineering and mental precision is what makes it faster and that is because it is a Nissan GTR.

I enjoy my Scuderia more but it is childish to say it is rubbish because it is just a Nissan as it clearly has proven itself year after year.

Oh, I believe dustman called you out on your fox comment as you insinuated he dislikes the 458 because according to you, he can't afford one. His post was spot on with his rebuttal. The one that barks the loudest has the least bite.

Ok, 0,4 sec instead of 0,2 (between them).
    Better for the GTR!
    So, faster=better?
I've meant: I do not care about that difference, I prefer the 458. The end!
I told "I like the GTR" and I've been attacked with "elitist *****".
If someone says "the 458 is far from beautiful" and "omgomg GTR is better" he's a fanboy.
I like GTR. I do not like fanboys.
But I still prefer other cars!
An Honda Integra is awesome too, but slow compared to a 458 (it's an example)! But it's still beautiful!
I told that "fox" phrase because he's clearly a GTR fanboy!
I never said "GTR sucks" and he has meant that!
You own a scuderia, so you should know the feelings that she give you!

And: I never told "Nissan=sh*t" if you read my posts you'll see!
Other guys told that, not me.

Again: guys, buy what you really like.
    Not the "faster/cheaper"!
If someone thinks "I want to go fast with a cheaper vehicle" go buy a bike.
This is my opinion, I like both cars.
Dustman didn't even read my posts.

Seriously, only Noblesse Oblige caught what I've meant? Wow.

Tony Rivera actually since he did most of the development. Steve's a great guy and very fast. But I'm pretty sure they'd have the same comments!

IMO, any true car enthusiasts should appreciate all make and models. Not just the special price ones. Again, my opinion only.

    I know what I've said!
If you like the GTR and dislike the 458, you have a strange taste!
But I do not dislike the GTR!
Other guys told "it's a Nissan" etc etc
    That wasn't me, sir ;)

Just two different cars. When I get in my 1038hp GTR, I feel it is my mission to dust every modded or fast car I see on the road because I can. When in the 458 or GT3RS or ZR1, I just enjoy the sounds and the ride. Street or highway racing is silly, fun, and the domain of a modified turbo-charged vehicle. Having a great time with engine noise, handling, overall car enjoyment is not where the GTR shines. All three other cars surpass the GTR in those categories.

    Sorry to say.
But a nissan even with 5000 horsepower is still a nissan and not a ferrari.
With all due respect, it would be a nice rocket but,
I still stay with the Ferrari or even a Porsche.

I'm with you... Ferrari is the golden namebrand but you have to be careful or some smart-ass kid might remind both of us that team Red Bull sponsored by Nissan/Infiniti has been walking all over team Ferrari for millions of TV viewers over how many seasons in the past 5 years?

I've never cared about name-brands, but I did get tired of watching Infiniti walk-a-way from Ferrari each week in the 2013 season ;)

LOL. I did and it was great fun.
As a car enthusiast I like to try everything and not lock into just Fcars.

No wait, it wasn't referred to you!
It was for the "1038hp guy" :D
    That's a strange point..

    I'm not "lock", I already tried a 2013 GTR!

Didn't you state 4 posts ago:

    "I'm impartial, I like both.

And someone told me "elitist *****" wow!

For "impartial" I mean that I like both.
I've meant that I'm not a "Ferrari fanboy" or a "GTR hater".
But I like more the 458 for the feelings that it gives.
Don't you like a car instead of another one?

    The end.

I will give my 2 cents and people can take it for what it is.....I own both, a 2012 GTR and a 2013 458....Have had a GTR for 6 years (2009 before the 12) and a ferrari for 2 (Scud before the 458)

The Nissan is faster, the Nissan is a much better bang for your buck hands down, it garners a lot of unwanted attention from the wrong kind of people (i.e. teenagers in jalopis trying to race you) and a lot of good attention as well.....never experienced bad....

There is absolutely no comparison, nil, zero, nada, to the Ferrari, be it the Scud or the 458....And I'm not trying to sound all dopey....The emotions of sitting behind the led wheel with the incrdeible sound of the engine behind you is like no other feeling on earth....the smiles and enthusiasm from others, epecially the kids, when they see the car and want pictures sitting in it is worth the price of admission....

Nissan is a car manufacturer that builds some very nice cars including the GTR....Ferrari is a brand that stands for much more then the car....

I'm a car guy with no loyalty to one brand or the other....if it's a good, fast car I like it....but some things you just can't compare....Owning a Ferrari was a life long dream that I've worked very hard for......even a mile trip to tht supermarket is something I cherish....

I was just braking your balls. No harm intended... LOL! ;)

To answer your question, of course I prefer some cars over others. Again, I was just bustin' your chops.
