Shock suspension ecu 205619 to settle down the magic carpet ride of early 575M. Last year Ricambi listed it for $2000. This year $1500 not including tax or shipping. I got my from Eurospares. $1200 and change including shipping.

So turn off the power. Peel down the rug on the passenger seat compartment firewall and my question is... Is it right under the panel that closes off a compartment up against the firewall or is it stuck off to the side in some other compartment alongside the footwell? I cannot find a definitive drawing or picture. Mostly I don't know if the close up pic shows that firewall compartment or a side compartment.

Thanks MSW brain trust. GTS Bruce

Got a chance to do it today and go for a drive. The car makes the same type of motions as it did before. However much better damped. More road feel. More sporty feeling. Bettter body motion control. Not too stiff. Not unpleasant. I noticed the difference right away. Still likes to pick its nose up under power. Drove on the highway and some back roads.

So. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Is it race car handling? No. But much better than it was. The handling is now respectable and no longer feels like an old caddy or buick.

Bruce I can't remember if you've upgraded the springs but if not you would likely be happy with that change. It further minimizes the nose movement.
Did the steering and ECU upgrade, then the rear bar, and it was better but not where I wanted to be. FHP springs got me there. The FHP package is a nicely refined package that works well for the car and on the road. Background is driving a C6Z and I've had some time in a '02 Viper, both stock. The FHP/HGTC Maranello is better ride than the Vette or Viper and no where near choppy which these two can be. My reference is Florida roads which these days are only some better than northern roads. Will also add that GM's Mag ride closes the gap quite a bit on a later C6 vs the Maranello.
