Congratulations!!! I keep hearing great stuff about Sport Auto!! And you testimony just adds to it. Enjoy!
I have owned several Ferraris over the years, and always keep coming back to the 328GTS as the best of the bunch. I know that may raise the eyebrows of devotees of some of the more elaborate and expensive models, but, well: (1) It looks like you think something like a Ferrari ought to look, even if you've never seen any Ferrari before. (2) Ditto the sound. That V8 makes a whooping roar unlike anything else on the road. Sometime when you're in a crazy mood, blow another $3K and add a Tubi, after which the music is just unbelievable. (3) That V8 and transmission work together wonderfully over the entire power band. You can (almost) put the car in any gear at any speed and have it enjoy it. (4) The view out the windshield, over those two voluptuous red wheelwells, is right out of a dream. With the targa off, about as close to riding along with Jean-Pierre Sarti as you can get on normal roads. (5) You won't have to apologize to any passenger, or viewer, for any bad design feature. It's comfortable even on long trips, everything does its job nicely, and you can even parallel-park and go up driveways in it. (6) Can you believe a redline at 7,800rpm? And those evil red gauge lights? And a warning light that actually says "SLOW DOWN"? And that big, machined shiftgate? And no glove compartment? What theatrical arrogance! You're about to take your first trip through the Stargate. "What a rush!"
Congratulations as well. I remember when I first got my 87 328 GTS I had to open the door to the garage every hour for the first week to remind myself that I actually had it. Now go out there and drive, drive, drive! Theo
Congrats on a great looking car...I have had mine for 6 years and loved every second. So how many times have you went into the garage just to look at it? Ciao' Steve
VERY nice Fcar. Congratulations. I haven't been able to go to any event in the DC area yet, but when I do get the chance, I hope to see you and your car there. Fabio
She's a beauty!!! Better than Magnum's IMHO! There's a all black 997 one town over to the west that's waiting to ride in formation with her on the back roads! Hope to see you see brother! Tony
Robbie, I just told Julie about your new purchase. She was so happy for you. She said you seemed so interested in getting one at the Gibson Island event. She says "Congrats"
So now there's two cops here with Red Heads....Congtrats I too just got my 86 328 from N.C., got it from fellow chatter and Auto Corsa did the paperwork. My car was also serviced at Sport Auto and I discussed with them the service history prior to purchase, great people at BOTH places....enjoy
