Thanks to all of your help, after a 12 month search I found my baby. I love the clean looks of the Euro QV's so have been looking all around the US for a clean, no stories car that I can put some serious miles on. Instead, I found a great US model right in my own "back yard" from Steve Barney at SportAuto. 49719 is a 84 US QV, Blue Sera (rare?) with Crema interior. 32,000 miles with recent major and records going back 15 years.

Just to make sure I broke her in properly, I drove her home in a howling thunderstorm! No leaks and she was stable in the wet. What a blast. Now I need to spend the next year cleaning her up.

We are going to clean up the interior next week. Then, in between the drives, I am going to replace the US bumpers with Euro styles, install a Euro front grill and driving lights then replace the rear "diaper" with a Euro valance. Also, since this is not a show car I think I will install the Birdman electrics, a Hill Engineering steering wheel extension for a better fit for me. Of course, that is in addition to all the niggling issues that will arise with a 26 year old Italian!

Thanks again for all your help. Let me know what else I should add to my wish list for my baby.

    See you on the road.

Looks really nice and the colour combo is perfect. Very different from the usual red. The car looks stunning and well maintained, and for sure the price has been high... Drive it in good health!

Congrats! I remember that thrill of the first ownership drive well! Its re-created for me everytime I start up my GT4. :)

I REALLY like the piped leather. That really sets off the interior.

Can't wait to see more pics.

Hey Chip....great news. Congratulations. Sorry that this means that you and I won't be getting together in Frisco this week to talk 308's... but next time you are out there, let me know since I am a regular traveller to the bay area.

I like the Blue/crema combo (my GT4 was a blue metallic and I loved it).

    Best of luck, John

    Hi Chip.

Beautiful car! Congratulations! A quick question, is your piping black or blue? I can't tell with the over exposure.
