    Interesting...!!!
What parts of the Countach looked like having been re-painted?
How were you able to tell?
Did you inspect it to purchase it or just happen to see it when visiting there?

Seller Frank told me on the phone prior to auction end that it had absolutely no paintwork! It also said so in writing in his eBay listing that it has original paintwork!!!

I then asked how he knew for sure and was told that he used to work for a paint company like PPG, Dupont or something similar, and that he was very knowledgeable on cars and paintwork.

    Cheers,
    Bjoern

The engine bay has a lot of recent paintwork.

Even in the pictures the car looks unusually good for 25 year old paint.

    Nah, he's got the car.

He does not want the funds wired into his account...for obivous reasons. Easier to deposit a check into someone elses. Don't blame the guy, everyone is struggling in different ways.
Just a damn shame how this has all gone down.

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

If that's the case, why didn't he deal with Roy. Roy would have sent the money any way he would have wanted.

I still think there's more but this horse or bull has been beaten to death.

    I'm going there tomorrow.

However, this thing's been on there since we've been discussing it.

I just heard from Sandy DeGroot, the car's never been to their shop and when I mentioned the drama around it said she would take it off the site.

Yet another weird chapter about Frank and his car.

I bought a car from them recently. They have my money and will not release the car. He has made all kinds of excuses as to why I can't pick it up when I suggest times and days.

I wish I knew about what happened here before I wired them my money.

I will gladly provide the details to anyone that wants them.

This guy is simply a nightmare to deal with. A total B.S guy which has something to hide. A financial leach. I recall the whole ordeals by several people on several sites..
I never saw anyone refuse a full payment on a stupid technicality and excuses of being on Vacation at "Disney". Here is Mickey alright... Such B.S that Jollygood had to go thru is a big red flag.

It seems than better than the police, you may want to have the IRS look at his books. Seems to me he is far from clean on that end...

    Hey Pete!

Well Frank is up to his old tricks this time on a 914-6 that I'm highly interested in buying.

Same old Frank 6+ years later guys.

    NO AFFILIATION!

    Porsche 911 Carrera | eBay

You'll see he's failing to disclose the vin number to this 911 and the 914-6 that I'm highly interested in.

If you look at the pictures you'll see the Countach in question.

How is this guy not in jail for doing what he's doing?

I hope to God this guy got his money back after seeing the 911 auction with said Countach in background. But it sounds like it is another car. But, still, damn!.....checkout the feedback. Go figure.

Only reason I'm bringing this up here is he tried to get me for that 914-6 he's selling.

I already had a 914-6 GT stolen the last thing I need is someone to steal $150k on the car that's on eBay.

I'm about to give up on having a 914-6 it's too much trouble.

what happened to the old countach that was to be paid only in cash?

The picts show a countach in the background so either he still has the car and some peoples money or the picts are several years old?

i learned a while back to stay away from smoky situations. Who has the time to deal with stuff like this? really not worth it.

Can you believe this Frank guy?

He sends me an eBay message if I want to or know of anyone wanting to buy that 86' Countach.

He then ends the 914-6 auction just like that and cites an "error in listing", poof gone.
