    As if the application process to get into BYU wasn't nerve-wracking enough, I recently had the pleasure of applying to their business school. Things weren't looking good because most of my friends in the program had to apply more than once before they got in. This morning I found out that I have been accepted into the Marriott School of Business, and it only took one try! I'm am so relieved because my GPA is going to take a beating this semester from my accounting class. I'm totally going to party like it's 1999.
    I'll be studying Finance but I haven't decided on whether my emphasis will be Corporate Finance, Real Estate, Financial Planning, or Investment Banking. I'm open to suggestions on which emphasis I should consider.

    congrats! byu is a good school, it'll be the best 4 years of your life, (6 in my case, :D)

    Way to go, both of my parents graduated from BYU. The business school is quite competitive and it's tough to get it. Deciding on an emphasis can be tough, real estate or investment banking sounds interesting to me, but it really depends on what you want to do.

    Congratz on the approval. If I were you I would take a summer accounting class to brush up. If you are struggling now you will be afloat in a sea of misery once you're in the B school.
