Terrible new, Phil got busted talking to me on his mobile phone whilst driving into work today. Shows what an arshole I am, when he called me back I laughed myself silly!
Hahahhahahahaha......that is funny! That fine is a bit harsh though, I'm pretty sure here its only $50 and no loss of points. I could be wrong though.....
You guys have got it easy. $141 and maybe $50?? My mate got done 3 month ago and it cost him $250 and 3 points.
Oh hahaha. That sucks for Phil, still funny though. What is even worse is they NEVER see the idiot woman who's on the phone holding up traffic, and drifting into your lane.
thats because we dont have idiot women in Australia, we exported them to ..................(i cant say cos i will get banned....again)
Dunno what phil's gonna do about the 3 points, but I wonder if he's going to add the $141 to Scott's or Stephen's next bill? Glad I'm outta there! i bet he told the cop that it's not his fault, then started to hypothesise about why it's actually not dangerous to talk on the mobile and drive.
i hope he doesn't come on here and complain about it because he gave it to me for losing my licence because that would just make him a tool
ha bloody ha. Hey peepee, sorry to disappoint you, but maybe your mind works like that with your customers. Please don't judge others by your own low standards. And as for my bills... why don't you ask stephens how much he paid for the following... Source, collect and supply new steering pump as spare for 550 Travel to PI from Richmond, and install the new pump. Starter motor and solenoid overhaul. 4 Wheel alignment.(floors off etc) Investigate clutch pedal fault, and bleed clutch etc. Take car for Dyno testing, two tests... including all parts, dyno charges, call out fee and travel expenses and tax etc... go on, have a guess. Stephens will tell you if he feels the need.
No complaints at all. Not only was I busted, I didn't even see the cop... because I was on the phone... he had to woopwoop me. Only mitigating circumstances was that it was walking pace traffic, and that my hands free kit was on the seat next to me with a broken earpiece. Cop was ok about it..... Disappointed to see my UK licence though
wow! there must have been some truth in my little joke for you to go to such great lengths to deny it!!!!!!!! looks like i hit a raw nerve. some truth in it then?? interesting insight there!
Yes, the truth part is where I accused you of judging people by your own low standards... hence your further snide comment. I accept what happened, additionally, I'm proud of how cost effectively I can maintain Ferrari's... hence my comment about stephens most recent visit.
Hee hee.. that used to be a good trick here before the RTA's got their act together and centralised their databases... many's a time a truck driver delivering for somewhere I may or may not have worked for has pulled out a NT driver's licence and gotten away without a points deduction If you were challenging the charge FF, the answer would be a polite letter to the Sheriff's office collecting the dosh, talk to your driving record here & abroad (can they check the UK??) and mention the broken handsfree device... You may have taken a phonecall from a loved one (they dont know its not true ) who had to go to thedoctor because they werent well.. extenuating circumstances... need the car for your business.. family member in trouble... I sure you could make a story better than me... I know of a couple of people who have had the points deduction removed, and the fine stay... and another who had the whole thing wiped. If you dont ask, you dont get.
lifes too short for all that.... the two phone calls I took before getting stopped were good ones anyway and besides, the cop looked like this... http://www.compfused.com/directlink/450/
If the phonecall was work related, then the fine is clearly tax deductible.* *Disclaimer: The advice above may not be legally accurate.
Much as it pains me to do so, I must admit FF only charged me $100 for coming down to PI on no notice, to change pumps for me. Sometimes I disagree with his bills, but that's bound to happen when you have a Ferrari that spends as much of it's life in the mechanics workshop as it does in your own driveway!
BAH. Where the hell did you get that advice from???? The ATO would have a field day on you if they found that out, and believe me, they have access to the fines database, and can actually match up figures. Well, a computer does it these days...
