I was hoping to attend the Ferrari Club of Australia function at the Crowne Casino in Melbourne during the Grand Prix. I must have been rejected because of my past performance in 2003. You people must understand how strange Americans can act at a party. We are not as reserved as you. You Australians should lighten up and party more offend. Oh, well.

Anyway, I will be stopping in Sydney for four to five hours. before going north to somewhere call Whitsunday. Great until I found out it will be in the middle of the monsoon seasons. Yipes, I will be on a small boat with rain for five days. This should be a great vacation, thanks to my brother-in-law. But heck, my wife, his sister, cannot be upset with anything because it is her brother.

I get to go to Melbourne a few days before the race. The schedule I have is booked. The long flight home starts after I arrive at LAX on Monday morning after the race.

So you got rejected from the party? You think that Americans can be foolish while partying? You obviously havnt been to Australia much....:)

Will you venture out of the airport in Sydney? And you will be heading to the Whitsunday's up in QLD. It hasnt rained in ages, so expect heaps when the race is on....(our luck). Im taking an Umbrella!

bogans rule! in adelaide if it's not a deep philosophical discussion about which taxi rocks more, Holden or Ford, it's gentle gibes about which bunch of meadow-frolicking cuddle-monkeys in colourful costumes have less homoerotic undertones, Crows or Port.

if both topics should meet, watch out! a turf war is fought in the honourable australian fashion of filthy looks and skanky sneers.

Bart, the monsoon season has past and the weather on the reef is totally different to the mainland .

Whereabouts are you heading , the Whitsundays is larger than Texas and doesn't have any rednecks like said state :D

If you're diving off one of the cruise boats that do the reef I am very envious as there are some great dive sites there....send pics!!

I think QLD has the highest amount of Bogans than anywhere else. Espec up north.

Sydney has a very annoying mix..

lived in Booval while in the air farce ..... not too bad back in the 80s but is full of deadbeats now from what I saw last time I was out there, reminded me of the poorer areas of Mt Druitt...originally a Liverpool boy so can pick a slum :)

Gold Coast is a whole different kettle of fish (or should I say sharks)

We should have a dinner for Bart when he gets up here in our lovely state to show him a good Aussie time :)

Up north hay! Slow down! There are some members from Cairns you know. People down south need to take a chill pill, people from cairns are the most relaxed people in Australia. I guess we just know how to enjoy life!

ganga I dont smoke, I get drug tested to much!

You know I was holding out for a cheap one, like the one sold for $115,000 in QLD. I wanted that one but missed it. After looking for to long I am now back in Europe, racing again. I have come to realised when looking for a Ferrari you can only pick two words:

    "Ferrari", "Cheap", "Trouble Free".

    A CHEAP FERRARI (is not)TROUBLE
A TROUBLE FREE FERRARI (is not) CHEAP
A CHEAP TROUBLE FREE (is not) a FERRARI!

So at present I have put my money up and will spend around $140,000. I know I can get one, there are a few for sale. But I dont go home until September. So then I am going shopping.
