I only go by what the analysts are saying and how they can invest based on the stats.
But, I'm sure all those guys will need to unload soon. It's very easy to get used to a temporary high level of income and consider it the norm. Here comes the reality check lol

    sorry, i meant LP640...not LP400

i still believe you will miss a diablo one day, but 640 is a great performer
issue is finding a 6 speed one....e -gear ruins the experience to me

I totally agree with you Emilo. The Diablo really is something special and honestly, egear makes me cringe..bur what can ya do.
The premium for a 6 speed just isn't worth it to me in a Murcielago series.

This will be short term as I really want to move up to an Aventador.

The Diablo roof really is that good. As someone that drove mine in heavy Florida rain, it never leaked. You washed and waxed it like a coupe and took off the top like a convertible.
The only area where it would leak is where the side rubber compressed with the A pillar rubber. The side rubber seals would push back over time and let a few drops in. All you had to do was unscrew the side, reposition and reseal with 3M weather seal adhesive.

The beauty of the Diablo Roadter is you can ãctually put the top on or off during your trip, (although an Engineering shortcut or the easy way out as far as the storage solution)always there ,go to work in the morning ,top down,go home in the afternoon,(living in Florida) its raining, top on, unless this Murcielago top can be stored in an innovative way ,IN the car, its not much of an innovation, merely a lid wich makes the car look like a Koenigsegg,

Just seen this. Glad you're ok.

It's a shame to see a beauty like that get such a bad knock. I've been there before with one of my 1st pride and joys. A woman ran a red light and hit me side on pushing my car on to the pavement. I had to remove the Targa roof to get out. All I wanted was the car to be fixable but alas it was destined for the scrap pile. Broke my heart and it wasn't even a special as your Lamborghini so I feel for you.

Not sure if that soft top is the same as the oem or not but the oem one is widely considered to be total crap.

Does that soft top fix any of the issues covered in this video?

Anybody have an ide what the average Murcielago roadster owner would be willing to pay for a sleek easy on /off top wich stores in an up until now ,undiscowered cavity in the car, also how many units would be fealistic to sell? Very thankful for suggestions and thoughts, also how many roadsters where actually made?

The "undiscovered cavity" is where the oem top is stored. Steve's top is really nice and the best solution so far.

The best part about the Diablo VT Roadster top is that you can put it on and off on a whim. Florida weather is such that it's easy to get caught out.

I agree,So Far, It certainly is, that is if you dont care to bring the top along on your trip, in the ēvent of a rainshower, i was refering to a top that Is storable In the car And fairly easy to remowe and install, also what the ovner would pay for this improvement and convenience. IF some bright mind found a solution, .

Its right here and selling tomorrow, maybe if it meets their reserve

Good that it got a rebuildable title instead of that dreaded certificate of destruction.

Oh cool..thanks for posting the link.

    A few things to remember:

    The airbag light is on

    The steering is skewed

I started having electronic issues....no fans running then back on and tach dropped to 0 while still running...then back up...GFA

Rims have aluminum chips torn out

The 108k estimate is lower than the professional estimator 's report.

It was deemed totalled because State Farm concurred that the frame was bent.

Good luck in bidding for it.

Shamile, if you really want a stick LP640 why not buy an Egear car and convert if to stick. Its possible and costs about 20k if a shop does it. With the help of glen at AMH parts im sure this could be a job you can tackle yourself.

    Just an idea.

I'm a little late to the party, but I wanted to also say that it was good to hear that you came out of this accident okay. What a sad sight to see your beautiful car in that state. As others have mentioned, and I agree.....the positive way to look at it all is that things could have been much worse.

I've been following most threads and posts about you and your car for years. You are quite the impressive person. A master mechanic that is very meticulous about your cars, a very knowlegeable mechanic that can fix pretty much anything. I especially like your DIY threads from way back when. The point is that your old Roadster will surely get rebuilt and put back on the road again. Whoever owns it will be getting a car that's been so well cared for and looked after, it will surely give many more years of enjoyment to someone. Actually, your car is probably one of the best salvage cars to buy out there!

Oh, I can't forget about how much fun you always had with that car and the ladies you've taken out. Those threads are the most interesting! Unfortunately, this car will probably never see as much fun as you've shown it over the years. If only that passenger seat could talk!! lol! j/k! BTW, what ever happened to that one thread from years ago called "Shamile and His Ladies" or something like that?? Shamile, you need to revive it! Some of us can only live vicariously through you! :) lol!

On a more serious note.....Does anyone know what Shamile's car hammered at?? Anyone know who bought it? It would be great to see a build thread of it coming back to life.

    Hey BX,

Thanks for the post! It really put a smile on my face! :) I really had a lot of fun with the car. I put a lot of miles on it and diminished the value in the process but, I wouldn't trade it for the fun I had with it.

Just for you, here are some of my favorite girlies that I put up on my FB send off lol I hope to have just as much fun with the next Lamborghini. Life's too short not to make the effort to enjoy it!
