Multiple emails and calls on several F355 to dealers with questions. These were not to a general inbox or voicemail. No replies... I guess no sales for those guys either. Not a positive reflection on their businesses. Robb
The vast majority of car salesmen are lazy. They have zero information about the cars they sell except to say "this is a really nice example" - when you ask "why?" - crickets. Don't get me wrong, the good ones are well respected like Tony Palmer from Algar - top notch all the way I almost bought a 2009 Maserati GT (F1) to replace my current one last year - sales guy was the pits and the reason I did not buy the car.
Not just these used cars I called Toyota and honda to get a hydrogen car and no response. Got me a subaru self driver instead. I'm not begging anyone to sell me anything much less stand in line for dinner. Nothing is that good except a good taco Image Unavailable, Please Login
I did buy a self driver subi LOL LOVE IT !!! Station Wagon no less but thats for the dogs. Image Unavailable, Please Login
in Canada its horrible.. indie dealers selling Ferraris.. never know anything about the car.. one ad I saw, for a 2001 360 Modena other then the year, model, and kms.. there was no other info whatsoever.. which is 90% the only info offered... but in this ad, the description of the ad, all it said: " very rare car". It made me so insane.. I couldn't help it.. I responded to the ad and blasted the hell out of whoever opened it lol.. more often then not, indie dealers, know nothing about the Fcars they buy..
One of my pet peeves is when I email through their site or Autotrader or Cars.com and ask a few things. Then I get the stupid bull**** generic response hi my name is whatever I'm the sales manager here, what do I need to do for you to purchase this car? How about answer my question about maintenance records, more pics, etc...???
My favorite was when I was standing in a dealer with my checkbook and the salesman would not let me drive the car before buying. WTF?!? LOL Adios sucka!
I have a very wealthy friend of mine walk into a Mercedes dealer to buy a G wagon for his wife. He is in the trades and would pay cash for one. He come off a job and was in work clothes when he went to take a look. When he asked for a test drive the sales guy looked at him and said "Come back when you have the money". Needless to say no sale was made that day If I were him I would have came back with the full $150k and then tell the manager he only gets the sale if the ******* is fired. But he just shrugged it off and figured it was their loss not his
Well, I agree that it's funny what some sales people make up. On mine it was quite fun to let him talk and then ask how that was possible? He said a great customer traded it in for Challenge car. I sent him the link to the Auction sale they bought it at. In my neck of the woods true blue sales people do not generally judge by what you wear. I live near Amazon, Microsoft, Expedia, Zillow, etc. The dress code is usually no more than frayed cargo shorts, flip flops and a bleached out t-shirt. Pony tale, purple hair and stretched ears are additional. A friend and I walked into the Porsche dealer and 10 minutes later he started the order process for a GT3 RS. Sales guy didn't bat an eye. Used car dealers that don't specialize in Ferrari's are not great from my understanding.
Well they are great cars so get them while they are hot. Just need an F1 Fiorano spider for the whole collection... Robb
LOL yeah same down here. Most wealthy people I know dress bad as I do. Just bought a new daily. 30 min out the door. They just called my bank and handed me the keys. I think I signed my name once. Funny story I was sitting in front of a supermarket, upscale place and a lady asked if I was hungry and offed me some food.. I said thanks yes I am hungry taking a long drive in my ferrari always makes me hungry while pointing at my car. I'm still waiting for my food
She was just trying to be friendly since she knew you have a lot of engine out services in your stable lol.
Well we have one red one already... Can't speak for the rest of the masses. Market seems slower on all cars - not just Ferrari's. So you'd think sales guys would be running to the phone, with a lot of "yes sir's". Robb
There just isn't any stock, is there? Look at this site's own classifieds. Leaves you like this: Image Unavailable, Please Login
