I Had A Dream Last Night......

I think this is the perfect example of too much information ruining one's fantasy life.....


After driving from S.F. to L.A. we needed new tires on the Durango so we pulled into a Firestone shop. Right away we noticed what seemed like a VERY large number of people lined up getting new tires. No problem, we waited.
Finally it's our turn. I'm up at the counter telling them what I want and it seems like every employee in the shop is hanging around the cash register.

Odd. I never get service like this.
They are all very happy.
Odd. I've never seen mechanics happy to have a shop full of customers on a Saturday afternoon.

Fine. It's a dream right?

I pay for my tires and when my credit card is handed back to me I'm slipped a set of keys as well.

Ferrari key fob.

Everyone starts screaming and clapping. I turn around and there sits a gorgeous 328. MINE!!!!

Am I happy? Is it the best thing that ever happenend to me?

No.
I'm concerned. I ask when the last major service was done. Receipts? Reputable shop? Any leaks? Look for rust. Electrical system? Start flipping switches...what's working, what needs attention. Should I risk driving it back to S.F. or call a transporter?

I woke up unrested, troubled, worried.....

TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!!!!!

 

Like I said the other day, I hang out here more now than when I had the GT4.


BTW, if I told you the 328 in my dream was blue, you would know the car I had in mind right?

 

You really should. I hear they're handing out Ferraris.
