Hello All! My first posting on your forum, and have now been actively shopping for my Ferrari for about 2 weeks now. Looking for some expert feedback, and this forum seems to have no shortage of experts!

I'm NOT looking to do this purchase as an investment, I'll probably own it for a few years and resell it. I'm interested in seeing some links to some various for sale Ferrari's you might see, and if you think they are listed high, what you would offer for them.

To get the ball rolling, what does everyone think of this 2007 Ferrari 430?

I think you are looking in the right place, F430 or maybe Challenge Stradale. You will be able to get a great car well under your budget.

    What model do you want???

If you don't know what kind of car you want, how do you know you want a Ferrari?

No, to "get the ball rolling" what you need to do is spend many hours in this forum reading through all the threads for modern F cars in the models section. Also read many of the general discussion threads. You need to look for F car events and cars and coffee events in your area. Attend them and talk with current owners. Go prepared with intelligent questions ( not how much did you pay, what do you do).

After that you can come back here and be able to ask questions that members here can answer.

I faced the same decision. Couldn't pick which model I wanted.

Go to any local dealer who has one of every model you could be interested in. In my scenario that was an F430, 458 and 599. Then and there I decided the 599 was for me.

Spent the next couple weeks reading here until I was comfortable enough knowing as much as I wanted to know about them.

Don't ask for opinions until you at least have an idea what you want.

Bull****. He can come here and ask any question he wants, just like everyone else. There are no prerequisites for when someone can come on here and inquire about cars.

Of course he can, but I'm offering him constructive advice.

Fine, so what's your answer to his question? What do you think of that 2007 Ferrari 430? Help the guy out. ;)

Not my style, way to feminine with the soft top and paddles. ;)

All right, now that's helping the guy. He knows now not to bother with that kind of car.

Unless of course he plays for the other team. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :D

With 200k you are close to early 458 coupes, and then there is the "feminine" California to stay with the theme of other posts ;) :)

To piggy back on this, which Ferrari in this price range will make the best investment as far as resale? Thanks

I always have to wonder if these questions are for real???
Just can't figure why anyone who is looking for an F-car would have to ask everyone else what to buy and then possibly not know what models are within their budget.

    I just don't get it.
These threads are futile. (IMO of course)

not really crazy about the subject 430 shown .. everyone knows the first Fcar has to be red.....

I couldn't agree more. I assume the OP is legit, but if so he doesn't even know what he doesn't know. That's why I suggested he do his homework first.

Thank you! I'll take the advice and go to a dealer, but I think everyone would agree new owners and their enthusiasm should be embraced, and that's what I have at the moment.

Thanks for all the positive comments from everyone, I'm reading through all of them now.
