Most companies have a list of what was made either in a catalog or on thier website. Usually, this is far different than what is available. Many limited runs, some sold out before they reach shelves, some not released in the US, etc. The internet has really made things easier, but at the same time made me say, "Oh, I didn't know about that one. I wil have to get it."

I have found that everytime I think I have all of one subject, another pops up on Ebay or at a show. Kyosho has a website and even has a catalog at some hobby/model stores. Now how much of what is in the catalog can make it to your door is another question.

http://www.kyosho.com/ only has the current releases. Minichamps came out with a book of all the releases they have done. Some private websites will list a lot of the models of a certain manufacturer, like here: http://www.mclaren-models.com/c-listr-kyosho.htm

but how come you settle for Hot Wheels?
that means you were bitten in first degree only
wait till you learn about other "hard to find" brands such as Techno Giodi, Eagle's Race, Guiloy, Kyosho and other old school names, That's when the poison on your bite will start to hurt. LOL

 

Not long ago (about 3 months ago) I also got bitten by the bug. I am only collecting 1:18 Red models. I first started with the Hot Wheels F2003-GA and then a 328 GTS, 355 Spider, and now a 365/GTS Daytona Spyder. I am planning on going to the exoticar store in MA sometime soon to pick up a few more and then buy one per month.
