Ernie you maniac, chill out! Your car ain't that bad. The radiator should be a fixable item. If not, go have one made. How much could it cost? Or check out the recyclers. Again, how much could they charge?!

Look, you had a plan for the car. Dump the stuff that breaks and make it a street racer. Take out all the unnecessary junk, strip down the interior, break it down to its raw mechanical components. Then go hunt Lightenings!

Sleep on it and let's meet up in the AM. It's always darkest before the dawn.

Hey, does that JB Weld stuff really work?

Ernie, sorry to hear of your problems as a new owner myself, Im hoping I never go through it. SO far so good. As it happens, I opened up my Haggerty Collector car insurance magazine today and there are 2 pages on refurbishing radiators! Haggarty has a list of vendors it recommends to work on, weld, re-core, specialty radiators, classics, ferraris, etc. Ill post the list here for you or anyone else who may need it. I dont know a damn thing about these people, but they come from Haggerty who I know insures a lot of high end hotrods and Fcars.

Dude, ive been thinking about this all day... just suck it up, take the radiator to a shop and have it repaired. The Paupers Run is coming up soon and you HAVE to come this time!! If they book the cabana's at the "tits-out" pool at Encore again, that alone is worth the effort and the trip!!

Ernie I have read a lot of your posts. They always have a genuine sense to them or lets say an honest opinion.

Here is mine. Just sell the damn thing. Get something you enjoy...

No reason to keep something that brings about this kind of sentiment.

I do not know how you kept it 9 years.

Advice.....Go buy something cheaper to operate like a King Air!!!!!!!

Can you imagine 2 of them? I sold the last one (as we all know) just recently....I was so happy to see it leave too.

Do yourself a favor and get rid of it....It will NEVER end. Cut off the bleeding.

Just think....Next step is dealing with the eBay doorknobs.....Oh and just wait, you'll sell it to someone, then it will break (again) and then they come on here and call you an idiot.....The whole experience is just lovely.....Isnt it? I think I'd rather stick my balls in a vice and drink battery acid.....

The car ticked me off so bad I have nearly no desire for any Ferrari....

The only one I'd buy is one that D. Helms and Gary have built because I'm fairly convinced Ferrari doesn't know how..

Look at the 458.....Can you say bar-b-cue...????

If I lived near you I'd head over and we could split a case of Killians;)

It is unfortunate that you have had way more than your fair share of mishaps with your car. The experience that you have brought to this community can not be measured.

Yes, they can be a pain in the ass when they are down. But when they are up and running, my goodness, is there anything better?

It would/will be a sad day when you walk away from her. A very sad day.

I can only imagine how frustrating it is to have event after event, failure after failure, however, at some point you have to believe that you have crossed the threshold, that more reliable motoring is ahead.

Perhaps she will catch wind that she may be traded to a less loving and less protective, judicious custodian and she'll stop breaking.

    :-(

I will advise you to patch the radiator up and sell the car. I sold my 348 almost two years ago, and the reason was financial. The car was not a problem, but work had pretty much stopped and I did not want to face a $15k transmission repair so I sold it. I miss the car sometimes, but I am glad I sold it.

If you want a fun fair weather car that is cheap to buy and operate I would consider selling you my Ginetta G20 since I ahve had it 5 years and it is time for me to move on to something else. If I ever sell it I want it to go to a good person who will really enjoy it, and I think you would fit the bill. Alternatively, I can soon recommend a budget conscious car that is a bit more comfortable that I think you would really enjoy that would probably cost about $25k new. PM me for details, few people know of it, even fewer can get a build slot to buy it.

    :)
