I think Nick's forza ferrari can get them new, but they are always a special order item even from Ansa. They don't keep those things sitting new on the shelf. Also, I believe the construction of the new Ansa sports uses different metal so they sound a little different. I have never heard one, but I heard second hand from a Daytona owner that his original Ansa sport sounded better. Not sure about pricing. let us know if you find out!

I believe the part number for the early carb 308s is FE2020

Check out the Tubi systems too!!! I love the sound I get from mine. I should do a video, but I am certain there is one on YouTube somewhere.

In the UK I was quoted £1,700 by Eurospares (ANSA Exhaust for carb'd 308) i.e. USD 2,600

I have an ANSA at the moment (it's been on the car for 19 years!) and would love to replace like for like but not for that money.

I'll probably end up with a Nuovalari - about £900 delivered to my door. They do the standard box and a straight-through version. It's a UK company and the guys on Club Scuderia give favourable reviews.

Hey Chip, just curious, why did you choose Ansa, is it the sound of it?

If you are hoping that the Ansa would be a more affordable option than competitors such as Tubi, X-ost, Stebro, Quicksilver, ect you are going to be horribly disappointed. I got a quote for my '79 GTS at just shy of $2400.

For me I just could not justify and account for spending 10% of the value of the car in the ole ledger in my head on an exhaust. So I went the Magnaflow route for $600, but that is just me.

I do have an email address for the guy that sent me the quote, who supposedly has Ansas in stock. PM me if you want me to send it your way.

First, I like the original look of it. Second, if I am going to a European rear valance I was somewhat uncertain about the "bling" look of a polished SS exhaust sticking out the back end (much more visible than the std US diaper.) Third, I thought it would cost less than the others (wrong there I guess.) On the sound side, I have listened to a bunch of clips, but frankly they all start to sound about the same. I wanted a little more "volume," but not so much that it would be tiring on a 2-3 hour drive. At this point I am not sure which way I will go.

I know there are happy Ansa owners out there but I've never been too impressed with the quality (have had some on different cars). They also made the infamous headers for the 355 although I'm not certain who's at fault... Ansa for poor quality or Ferrari for giving the wrong build specs. or some of both. Others may believe header problems were caused by lean running condition or valve guide issues. Don't know for sure.

The 308's ANSA's are not stainless steel, I have them at a very special price, too low to post, PM me if you want pricing. Can ship the same day & I also have the Nouvalari's avail but they would be shipped from the UK.
