I have to share this insane 355 "Challenge" again.

The Japanese really know how to make an non-red Fcar look better than anything. The white F50, silver F40 with LM bodywork, and now this.

I'm in love. Thanks for the pics...will be saving them all.

Before I bought my 355 Challenge I found these pictures and tried to track down the car. I contacted LMP but the car was no longer there. Definately a head turner.

 

Too bad this stuff is not street legal over here.

 

Does anyone know why the coolant tank is moved to over the exhaust on the challenge car?

 

All I can say is that I love it, beautiful.

 

They moved the coolant box and the oil-water heat exchanger from the bay between the air boxes. Notice the transmission heat exchanger at the back of the car.

Then they stiffened up the air boxes to take loads off the throttle bodies.

This also gives them access under the bay as needed (like to adjust the throttle bodies.)

 

Truly anazing! Nothing like a clean black car, but must be a bi*ch to keep it that way. You'd have to take a weeks vacation just to wax it. Luckily I'm retired, so I'd be willing to make the sacrifice.

 

On my Challenge the coolant box is still between the throttle bodies. Looks like the mods to this one were done afterwards.
