This is my first Ferrari and I couldn't be any more excited. I just thought I would share this info with everyone here.
I'm still a little shocked that in a few days I will have a 328. The car I found is exactly what I was looking for..... a driver that shows very well. It is a red/tan 87 328 gts with 27k miles.

    Here are a couple pics......

It does look like Crema in that picture, but it is definitely tan. It looks a little lighter in that photo because of the sun.

Congrats! The car looks absolutely stunning, and your timing is perfect - springtime is about to hit the northeast. Just curious: how long did it take you to find it, and did you find it locally? Wow.....I'm still shaking the effects of that vibrant red paint. Auguri!

Congrats on the car. It looks like it's been very well maintained.
You're going to have blast driving it - and learning the nuances of the car.
    Enjoy.

Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm sure the whole experience (driving and owning the car) will be even better than I am expecting. I'm already looking forward to tagging along on some of the local rides.

Tifoso - The car is down in Florida. A friend of mine runs a dealership down there (Naples Motorsports) and when they got this 328 in, he called me and told me he had the car I was looking for. He was right. It's hard to say how long I have been looking. I've been paying attention to what was around for a year and a half or so, but only started to seriously look to buy something about 4 months ago.

    Congratulations JayO

What a beautiful looking car. Since buying our 328 we have just been absolutely loving it. The car handles beautifully, it goes well, has been reliable (so far) and turns heads everywhere it goes.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the car as much as we do.

Once again, congratulations on such a gorgeous looking car.

Awesome car! I've had mine 5 years and never selling.

Regarding your interior. See the white plastic covering the metal plate to the right of the gas pedal? Dont remove it- the car came new that way and it is amazingly in good shape. This is a clue that in general the car was well cared for and that the miles on the odo are likely true.

Consider floor mats to protect the orig carpet.

    Enjoy!

Gorgeous! Congratulations! Even those of us that have are fortunate enough to own one of these things are clearly as struck by this car's looks as that day we got them. Especially with the non-convex wheels! ;)

    Sharp!

(Edit) P.S. Time to update your profile! Your 328 is no longer a "wanted" car! :)

Dan, I was actually going to remove the white plastic once I got it, but I think you've changed my mind. I never really thought of it as an indicator as to how well the car was cared for.
Also, there are already two sets of mats with the car.

Jerry, I am not sure if the carpets are new or if they have just been taken care of extremely well. The guys at Naples did comment that they look like new, but there are no receipts to confirm. I guess the important thing is that they look new whether they are or not.

Funny coincidence - I've actually been to Naples Motorsports. I was vacationing on Marco Island with my family, and a group of us went to Naples to play golf. We happened to drive past Naples Motorsports and, because I was driving the rental car, I pulled an immediate u-turn and stopped in. We spent some time drooling over some pretty special cars - it's a cool facility. Looks like you got yourself a winner, Jay. Congrats again!
