    OK, here it is! Picked it up and drug it home from Washington. It's a '93, so it was a production 348 Serie Speciale #33 converted to a Challenge car. It was raced in the series. It carried #8. At least one of the drivers was Brian O'Shaughnessy who has lately been active in the GrandAm series. I haven't had a chance to go completely through the car yet. Next up (after moving) will be to jerk the motor and do a major service-hopefully in time to get to the track with Fat BillyBob (insert obligatory challenges and chest-thumping here). I would really like to hear from anybody who has knowledge of this car's background. I do know there was a titled owner named Gary Beck in SoCal in 2001.

    Hmm, Gary Beck... Wasn't there a guy with Suspension Techniques by that name? He moved to another company, maybe Eibach? I'll have to check. He was well known in the BMW club.

    Congrats on bringing the baby home. I cannot wait to see it. What r u doing this W/E?

    Update: Beck might be the 1983 Drag Racing champion. Canadian racer might have done some street racing after his retirement.
