Oh my God, I cannot believe you have one of those!!! That is a very rare and unique tag, those things are as hard to find as hen's teeth. It's probably worth a fortune.

I think that's the famous dry cleaning tag Enzo lost while inspecting the assembly line. You should pick up his suit and drop it off at the factory.

    Wow....

Is this the first time you've cleaned the inside of your car????

    ;););)

(Isn't it just great how items can get lost in an area as small as the inside of a 328???)

No idea what this tag is though.

Don't know what the tag is, but I believe Graphotecnica Maranello is the printer.

I would guess this is highly possible. The last four letters on the tag "benz" is possibly for "Benzina" ... Italian for fuel.

    "Tappo" means cap.

That part # is for the following....

    60134202 FUEL FILLER FLAP, 308GTB/S, 308QV 62943200

    I did a quick search on Allferrariparts.com

Keep the tag, its pretty cool nostalgia!

In your ad, when you say "- e-brake works, but handle won't stay engaged", do you mean that the handle drops back down after you pull it up?

(On my '88, the handle is outboard of the driver's seat. It was designed to drop down out of the way of ingress/egress.)

That's one area where they definitely did not improve on the 308. The handbrake should be in the middle console. It is easy to reach and more importantly easy to use in an emergency. Also, it is obvious when the brake is on or not. It seems the actual functionality (holding power) of the parking brake was improved over the 308 but placement and use suck.

I've cleaned once or twice before. :) This tag was in the center console where all the electrical wires go. I think it finally fell out.

When I pull up the ebrake it engages, but it immediately disengages as I drop it back down without pressing the button.

Thanks Mark and Jim. So it appears that this came from the factory with this tag either on the car or stuffed in the console. I wonder why it would do that for such a random part?

Perhaps a previous owner replaced the part and the replacement came with this tag attached?

I thought about that, but why would the tag be hand written in Italian?

Well, you blew it. By removing this tag from the car, its is no longer "original" and unique. You just lost at least 30K in resale value at least. So, it's kind of the opposite of winning the lottery you see.

My suggestion is put it back and hope the next buyer doesn't read this forum!

Like it was said earlier, Graphotecnica Maranello is a printing company which printed a lot of things for Ferrari such as instruction manuals and other paper documents. This was probably a tag on some part that accidentally fell inside when the car was made or serviced at some point.

A treasured keepsake of times gone past!

Could the tag have been attached to the locking gas cap key at one time?

I think you had it right the first time. You have won a "major award" please return this special tag to the Ferrari factory as soon as possible. Tell them Mr. Willy Wonka sent you.

Its a great excuse to go to the factory!

Maybe its a quality control tag from the factory and someone noticed the car was missing this part during manufacture? This could be a good game of BS.
