    Just wrote a check for 50k today. Called my sister & asked if she wanted in on my will. She was amazed that I had done this purchase. All though her husband just bought a Viper last winter that I drove Thanksgiving day. My God, what a beast in every way! If you want to experience brain shear, a Viper can do that for you.
    I have this grin just now that says, “Yeah, a Ferrari. What else do you need to know?”

    I just wrote the check this week for my first Ferrari as well. A red 328 GTS. Bad part is it is in California and with all the transporters in use for Monterey and Pebble, I won't get it for about three weeks. Could be the longest 3 weeks of my life!

    Congrats, KUHL! I purchased mine from NY & it is still going to take 5 days to get here (GA). How did you find the car? I basically bought a Dupont R & visited all the "Ferrari for sale" web sites on my lunch breaks at work.
    BTW, SPEEDY, my 328 is black/black.

    When I get back to the states, I am definitely going to get me a F-car. Quick question??? Did you test drive your car and for how long?? I hear that many dealerships will not let you test drive the car.

    my first ferrari was a 328-used with about 3000miles-never had a problem with it except an oxygen sensor going bad.i put a tubi on it -had reg. checks ups and still to this day i miss it.it is a great car with great lines.congrats. have fun with it .drive it .when i traded in on a 355 and they came to pick it up the driver said boy it is nice to see a ferrari with some miles on it .i only put 10000 on it.

    A friend of mine has 4 cars (Enzo, F50, F40 and 288 GTO). He purchased several of these and other cars through a broker who is a personal friend of his. I put my faith in him and bought the car over the phone once he found the one he felt was right. Not necessarily a traditional approach, but with a connection like this, I felt it made more sense then flying around the country and kicking tires. Car was sold on consignment by the mechanic who maintained the car for past 5 years who is also a mutual friend of my connection. We'll see what rolls off the truck at delivery. I'm confident all will be well. Purchase included belt service, fluid change and otherwise thorough PPI. I found a different transporter who will now likely have my car to me by Monday 23rd. Can't wait. Good luck with your car Venus.

    AHHH. The car shipped Friday after so many days of what ever (got new radio/CD player) & details. Hope it gets here ready to run.

    If you find yourself, for the first few weeks, sneaking out to the garage to look at "baby" in the middle of the night, don't worry -- it's normal. :D
