That's a good idea. We should develop some sort of CSI for Ferrari's or Cars in general. Post-crash examination and reverse engineering could benefit us all. There are countless websites which display gruesome acts of violence, and clips and pictures of destroyed vehicles which I, nor others do not care to see. Regardless, I believe this site should be for displaying the positive side of Ferrari and Sports car ownership, and leave the trash in the garbage cans.
Here are some pics of the "sudden end of my trip to Italy" this year. But it is not wrecked, just a bit crunched: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=422217&stc=1&d=1163794485 After return to Germany we found someone who did repair (not replace) the body and all the rest.... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=422218&stc=1&d=1163794562 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=422219&stc=1&d=1163794603 And a lot of steps further: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=422220&stc=1&d=1163794658 Now I just have to "paint the plate" again and it is (in some parts even better) like new! I have posted on the topic of (mainly 360 spider) Ferraris breaking in half several times in the past. The more people that see these pictures, the better, because I think they show just how vulnerable driver and passenger can be in these cars and in the situations that can lead to accidents. If more discussions about the breaking in half thing are sparked, that's good too. Sure, posting wreck pictures for pure entertainment is a bit crass, but as an engineer I always look at crash pictures with an eye towards preventing future injury and death. I am interested in preventing Ferraris from breaking apart in the passenger compartment, and from catching on fire, and without internet pictures of these situations, it would be harder for any of us to identify that these were even potential problems. That was what I was getting at earlier.
oops, I don't know why it didn't load...I'll try again! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The guy, who repaired the body of my 308 needed almoste one week. But if you buy the spare part from England, you have to work on it as well, before it fits in the car....so we thought, to repair is the better way.
Who are you coming to our forums, calling some people idiots that you don´t know **** about ? Accidents do happen, calling all those people "idiots who dont know how to handle these cars" is very, very stupid. Some are idiots, yes, but far from all.
Excuse me, what the feck is your problem? Please explain to me the reasoning behind your post! I have seen too many times these threads started and been slated each and every time. I dont give a monkeys ass whether they are created or not. What i do give a monkeys ass about is when someone like you calls me something for no valid reason so please explain yourself. If these threads can be looked at as in being beneficial to saving lives then fair enough but I think Ferrari may be a tad better at doing that as I'm sure they do. Regards, Matthew
Most of, if not all, of the accidents in this thread involved excess speed to an extreme. The cars are TORN in half. That's NOT normal. Most of these accidents are people with little skills driving cars that can require tons. There might be one or two where the driver swerved to avoid a group of school children, but for the most part these are wealthy drivers who feel their car control skills amount to their income, when they in fact do not. These people drove their cars well above their abilities and it is not nearly as sad that they died than it would have been had they killed someone innocent and lived.
