I just checked with my California DMV, and you can get historical plates for a 75 GT4 for $25, but the annual renewal cost is the same as if you had a regular plate. The only apparent advantage is that you get a plate that says 'Historical Vehicle", and supposedly you can only drive to and from parades, car shows, etc. If anyone in California knows differently, please post.

I think you pay nearly nothing. , I believe Denmark is the most expensive carcountry in the whole world.
I have Imported a 1976 GTB from the US, and from the carprice and shipmentprice I have to pay 5 % importtax ( 1800 USD ).

Then I have to pay registrationtax to get the licenplates:
Under 35 years old it is: 38000 USD, (thirtyeighttousand !!)
    Over 35 years old ( vintage ) : 10000 USD

    License plates:240 USD

Then I have to pay yearly tax:
    Under 35 year :1000 USD
    Over 35 years: 250 USD

Carinspection every second year : 96 USD

    Fuel : 2 USD / liter 7,60 USD / USgallon

    JUST PAY AND BE HAPPY

Both my 81 Mazda RX-7 and 72 Datsun 240Z are exactly $25.23. Strange. There must be a bottom they never go below?

In VA my Mondial was $720 including titling ta and registration is good forever. With antique tags in VA no personal property taxes or state inspection required. Has to be 25 years old and not used for regular transportation such as "daily" to and from work--so have to drive something else on rainy days.
About the only ones hasselled on limited use are the work trucks and rusty junkers

Cliff its $14 per plate for the entire time you own the car in Arkansas. No yearly fees but you must pay personal property tax on all autos and it must be a antique. Over 25 years old.
