Exciting statements here. I must be the most boring dude here. Same car since 24 years. Same wife since 25 years, who was my girlfriend since 1981. Of course each time we fight, the future of the 308 GTB is subject of the debate Best from Germany Martin
It's the car that helped build this forum, so much history & helped make this group what it is today. I first saw it back in the Summer of 2001 in Cresson Texas at the FCA national event. Image Unavailable, Please Login
No, I am even more boring. Same car 36 years, same wife 31 years ... and we lived together for 7 years before that.
I feel your pain Rob. I took the rash decision to sell mine a couple of months ago partly as I had always justified it as a way to set aside university fees for my daughter never thinking that time would actually come or that I would be called on it. Sold it within 1 hour for what I wanted, back to the good friend I bought it from 14 years ago. He'll look after it for sure and I'll probably even be able to drive it occasionally. Its like a death in the family tho' and I think we're all in mourning....! Still have the GT4 in the UK so like you, I've got a backup! Condolences Mark
I had to pay a little extra cash, can't drive it on the street, I was more attached to the 328, and the market isn't as liquid. That said I haven't had to do any favors for her in 18 months, so she's on her own what she agrees to or not. I was satisfied with the deal.
we'll see, I would put the car up there in Top 10 of Ferraris last 30 years with potential appreciation. the market is a little soft on them, but with the vintage racing, Ferrari series in Europe, VIN street registered/title, etc it won't hurt to hang on to it another 5-10 years and have fun. that said, I need a street Ferrari.
