Title says it all, I'm still looking for a local carbed or QV 308 so one of you will just have to move up to a nice V12 Ferrari & sell me your car. I will take very good care of her and keep her warm at nite under a Ferrari red car cover. I'm open to most colors though a red head would be best and either roof woulld be fine with me. So sell the Microsoft stock, take care of number one and buy yourself something you deserve! You're not getting any younger and neither am I, hell I'm almost as old as dirt now!
    BUY B U Y B U Y B U Y !!!!!
And sell me your car of course.
    Thanking you in advance
Bill aka Gillermo if I ever get my car!
    Ciao

You didn't like either of the two you looked at? Sounded like they were both pretty nice cars. Although I noticed your post here did say "carbed car"! Don't give up, there are plenty of cars out there.

Easy there. I'm still trying to figure out the one I have!! Bill, the original poster of this thread and the thread I listed above (where he is asking for advice for a new owner) bought a car not me!!

Speaking of trying to figure out a car, did you find your problem yet?

I realize that. I see pictures being mentioned but no pictures.

I have used the process of elimination to determine what is NOT wrong with the car. It will take some "deeper" digging and a few more days for a definative answer. Sadly it won't be going to Cannon Beach. I have to ride with Robert in that old black Testarossa of his.....................don't know if I can stand it.:p:p:p:p

Sorry, I thought that you thought that I thought that.... oh nevermind. Bill sent me an e-mail with a pic but he hasn't been back here to post one (must be busy out driving the new toy!!!). It looks like a really nice car.

I had an epiphany tonight and can't figure out why I didn't think of it sooner. My front end started wobbling slightly after buying the new wheels. Seemed to get worse after re-packing the bearings. Didn't go away after replacing the tie rod ends.

Two words...hubcentric rings!! I sent an e-mail off to Super Performance to get a set. Hopefully that will sove it. Hopefully they'll get here before next weekend!!

    :)

Bill, are you at the parts store already? My boss came into work and told me he saw a gorgeous 308GTB at a Schucks in Parkland today. Wouldn't have been you was it?

John, that was me at Schucks, I needed a license plate frame. Thats quite a coincidence that he spotted me & I know you, small world!
Still taking it real easy as I want to to the belts b4 I really hear those Webers sing, but I can tell its going to be fun. Still don't know if the radio works ;-). Was taking brother in law for quick spin & felt the tires roll over in corner so I checked them when I got home & idiot new owner only had 16-20 psi in each tire! Handles much better now!

I will join the club but I work weekends which means I'll have to call in sick to make the events which leads to dismissal, then bankruptcy & then loss of F-car.
My wife & I drove 600 miles round trip Tuesday to trailer home the 308 & arrived home at just after midnight. We poured a couple rounds of Tequila & beers, ok, ok, it was more like 3 or 4 rounds cause around 130am we decided we needed to hear the little Italian car purr. We headed outside & I took the fender off the trailer so I could open the door & warm up the 4 cammer all the while the wife was taking the straps off the wheels so she'd roll off the trailer. I being of sound mind (pure BS) refused to chance wrecking it b4 I owned it 24 hours. Anyway after about 10 minutes of warm up we gave the neighbors a little sample of Italian muscle at 7500rpm (dam near brought tears to my eyes), then put the cover back on the car & went to bed very happy.
    Ciao

Glad you found one! I look forward to seeing you at some club events...as well as some get togethers down here on the south end. It was nice to meet you at Alfa of Tacoma for the show and tell/coffee morning. PeterB. :)

I've had "it" since my first 246 GT ride in 1979, took me until 2002 to make it happen, now my German toys sit idle for the most part. The German girls are sturdy, reliable and okay looking, but the Italian Girls.....;)

    Bill,

It really is a small world, and it gets a lot smaller now that your driving a Ferrari. That is a strange coincidence though isn't it!

There was a thread a while back and the number came out somewhere just north of 250,000 being ALL the street Ferraris EVER made. In the scope of the whole world that's a really small club to be in!!

Enjoy it!! Looks like it should be decent weather all weekend too!!
