I need to get on-line with PC based software to process customer credit cards. I am hopeful that fellow FChatter's can recommend a few companies that I can call to get this service dialed in.

    Thanks in advance.

is this for a call in CC processor or online? I mean, will people be purchasing online or calling you to place orders?

    For my call-in customers, I use Linkpointcentral.com

For call-in and emailed orders where the customer will list their CC to hit for the sale.

I use 2checkout with FC. Software only allows PayPal right now to be automated. They handle secure payments through 7 major credit cards and then I get an email when payment approved. I can also process right online for calls.

I've had various cc processors over the years. I'll say that bank of america is the quickest, although a bit more expensive. there are some companies out there that are evil as hell and others that are very accomidating. depending on your volume of dollars, paypal might work ok with you for the time being.

if you want even a local system for credit card processing and inventory, etc. drop me a line and I can discuss with you what I have worked with and what might work for you.

the fees you will have are a bit more, and will be just like online purchases since the card is not present in front of you.

No, they pay twice a month. Sucks a little, but all I have right now.

Remember when I had the FerrariChat.com online store for shirts and stuff? That was fully integrated with Verisign and would hit my accounts daily. Pretty nice, but very complex process and expensive.

If you use quickbooks, Intuit has a card processing service that works with the accounting software. I haven't had a chance to actually use it yet, but it should be up and running soon. Rates and fees seem to be very reasonable. Good luck!
