I'm in the process of finishing my attached garages and I want to know if anyone has a recommendation for a contractor that does floor epoxy coatings on Long Island?
If so, how much do they charge?
I was thinking of doing the Rustoleum "professional" series (solvent based) garage epoxy myself, but I'm pretty sure that it will come out much better if I get a pro to do it with better, more professional products.

My guy did this 5 years ago, but he retired. He got all the materials from a flooring supply place at the industrial park in Deer Park. I remember 3 coats. It still looks great. Best floor you can do.

I used PremierGarage in both NJ and NY. They were great. I even had the floor brought 6" up the walls so no water would get to the sheetrock.
Be aware that the grey is nearly inpossible to find a dropped screw or nut on!

Agreed. I'm happy with my DIY job, but I really didn't save that much money and a pro would have done better.

    Wow that looks awesome!
However, the garages that I'm finishing are my main attached garages for my daily drivers. The Ferrari garage is separate and it's already finished. I used Motofloor in that garage. I love the Motofloor, but I don't feel that it will hold up well with rain, snow, ice etc.

I decided to epoxy the floor myself. I went with Corotech V400 Epoxy over the Corotech V155 pre-prime (it's owned by Benjamin Moore). It was VERY easy to do (except the prep), and it looks great. Thanks for the advice but the prices were way higher than I wanted to spend for my Daily driver garage ($2,800-$4,000). It's going to get all crappy over time so I just wanted something that I can just do over every 5 or 6 years to freshen it up. it only cost me about $500 in supplies and 2 hrs of work X 3 days. I'm happy with the result and the stuff seems bullet proof!

    Thanks Mike!
I'm happy with the result. I'm just waiting for cabinets that I orderd to arrive. I wish it can stay this way, but I know that once it snows its going to get all cruddy :(
I guess it's not too bad because the Ferrari gets to reside all alone in a seperate garage that is always clean ;)
