Anyone got a real good lawyer? I was stopped by a state trooper, and long story short, I got 5 tickets. I managed to talk my way out of 2 and walked away with 3. I was in a hurry to get to the Oak Lawn hospital since I live about 25 miles north from there. Thanks! Dino
5 tickets in one stop? What an *******. I went to court after receiving 2, and "won" both. One was dismissed, and I paid the fine with no points on the other. I also insulted the cop after he lied to the judge. I don't think a lawyer will help--it completely depends on the judge and prosecutor. Good luck.
Yes, trooper wasn't very friendly. I guess we'll just have to see what happens on August 22nd. At least I have all the papers from the hospital so we'll see. Cook county.
What kind of tickets? Any misdemeanors like reckless driving etc? If so, you definitely need a lawyer. I'd give Dave Mitchell a call. He got me out of a bogus drag racing charge. 312-953-9884.
Speeding, then some BS ticket about not driving on the right side of the roadway, and tinted windows(no biggie).
Probably, lol. In the past few weeks I have never seen so many troopers pulling over vehicles, and traps all over the place.
Did anyone read/hear about how Gov. Rod Blagojevich "wants to catch speeders with cameras on interstates" it was in todays Tribune newspaper(8/08)-he feels this would help pay for@500 new state troopers over a 3 year time period-sounds like what Arizona is doing to make up for"budget shortfalls"-yikes,lawyers would be in huge demand if this ever passes in this area!!!!!!
Yep, and the thing that pisses me off the most is that this and the Red Light Cameras aren't about making our roads safer, it just means more ways to create revenue! Same goes for the seat belt law, 'Click it or Ticket'. Orwell's 'Nineteen Eighty Four' is just coming a little later than expected. Watch out for that 'fly on the wall'.................
