Coolant header tank / Expansion tank.
The old tank isn’t leaking, but it had a hole in the top before I purchased the car, and was repaired with a nice big ugly solder blob!
    So I’m looking for a new tank. I don’t have a parts book, so I don’t have a number.
The car is a 1979 BB, and the tank sits in the center of the engine just behind the A/C compressor.
    Can anyone help with vendors?

You might also try Dennis McCann Ferrari parts in Ohio.

I bought a header tank for my '83 512BBi from him and he had the best price around.

    Hi.........

Wonder if the Boxer coolant expansion tank isn't identical to a Ford product, found on the vehicles with 427 cubic inch [7 liter] engines built in the 1960s ?!?

    Any comments ?? Pictures ??

    Thanks guys,
I ordered the tank from Ferrari UK, and it was at my door in only 4 days! Fast, quick service to say the least.
Yesterday I was looking at a site mentioned here, Eurospares, and they have the same tank listed for only 95 Sterling!
It's been said before, but it really does pay to shop around!

Hey John, I sent you an email with the contact information for the tire place, plus other stuff, hopefully you got it, let me know if not and I will resend.

Glad to hear that you found that tank so quickly. I'm surpised that Eurospares was cheaper than Ferrari UK, the Eurospares guys have a lot of stuff, but they are not usually the cheapest in my experience, although they have stuff others do not.

    Regards,
    Alberto
