i need a restaurant recommendation for a graduation party

ok. many thanks to all. update. wife chose meritage for the graduation dinner.
daughter chose legal seafoods in cambridge for the casual dinner the night before.
now i need another restaurant for the saturday night.

i was thinking about one in the north end - some good italian. i dont want a tourist trap, or american italian food - looking for as genuine as possible. the decor does not need to be great, but the food does.

any suggestions for this last requirement?

OR something in seaport?
