    Hello,

    I am GOING TO BUY a Ferrari--there, I have said it, written it down ,and won't go back on it. Whew, now that I have plunged my heart into this endeavor I would appreciate all of your extensive knowledge and lessons learned on the subject. I am not trying to burn money but my present addiction allows me to counteract my rational mind and fork over the necessary sum. I have my heart on a 360 spider, or a 430 if I could even find one.

    My questions to you fellow addicts are as follows:

    How much is this fix going to cost me?

    1. 180k + tax (?)

    2. Maintenance schedule----What are my definite intervals? I guess I will worry about other unexpected things when they come up.

    3. Tires? What kind? How often?

    4. Exhaust to make her purr?

    5. F! tranny issues

    6. Cost for apartment in downtown for young, hot, blonde mistress to sit shotgun?

    Thanks for any and all feedback. Any pitfalls that I can avoid through some sagely wisdom are most appreciated!

    A 1999+ low mileage 360 Beginning $110 (coupe) up to $180 spider.
    A low mileage 430 cannot be bought for under $220,000 and that is if you are lucky. If car is under warranty, there will may be one time at no cost items. Important to have all records and inspection and make sure car has had all items addressed. If not under warranty, hourly rates approximate $150 per hour and parts are not cheap. Tires -I like run flats and a brand most like are Pirreli's. Tubi exhaust is great for 360 some others for 430 ($5,000 give or take). No real F1 issues. The blonde - she may use the shotgun on you and take the car... better leave her somewhere else with no keys. Best
