    Hello, i own a 1982 Ferrari Mondial 8. I just had a tune up last year. Now i have 2 problems. My car starts up great, i let it warm up for a couple of minutes. Then i take it down the road for about 2-3 miles and then the car starts to backfire and when i accelerate i loose a lot of power. the second probelm is my headlights are not coming up, i changed the fuses but still the same. turning signal works, high beam works but not the headlight and the tail light.     These are common Mondial 8 problems and you can find a lot of information searching archived posts. The power loss/backfiring problem sounds like you're dropping one bank of cylinders. It can often be fixed by cleaning all of the connections on the ignition system - especially ground connections. I finally tracked mine down to a loose multi-pin connector on the side of one of the Fuel Injection ECUs on the firewall (remove left rear wheel and fender liner for access) The headlight lift problem is probably a bad relay, or relay connections that need to be cleaned.
