Dear friends, the second year, I with friends of mine restore LM-002 in the end we managed with interior and chassis, now the task to fix the engine. We know that the engine of 5.2 liters is installed, we came to understand that the intake and exhaust valves need to be replaced. comparing drawings (accidentally we were diagram of Diabolo) we realized that the exhaust valves are suitable engine from 5.7 Diabolo. So do we need a Chain Tensioner Assembly (Solid Type) Read Description. Lamborghini service in Russia is not developed completely, my friends in Germany, too could not to find, could you advise the company or person who can help me to buy these items. I need: 8 exhaust valves. 2 intake valve 1 Chain Tensioner Assembly (Solid Type) Read Deskription. Pic with the dimensions of the exhaust valve is attached. And just attach the pic Chain Tensioner Assembli. (№30 in the diagram) and real pic of it Inlet Valve (Part Number: 001 220 818?) For the engine 5.2 liters. Eurospares in the UK might fit the bill? http://www.eurospares.co.uk/?M=2 Certainly the inlet valve you quote (001 220 818) seems to be here...... http://www.eurospares.co.uk/searchResult.asp?find=+&S=001220818 Best of luck with your project!
Here's a lead on your tensioner also. It seems it was probably previously replaced with an after-market replacement... Improvements in tensioners for chains, belts and the like
FerrariDublin yes, the Eurospares told me that tensioner has been discontinued and there is no alternative as yet I don't know what should I do..
Unsure if you have seen this thread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/lamborghinichat-com-sponsored-lamborghini-houston/406745-lm002-rhd-rolling-restoration-will-updated-regularly.html You might contact BlueBiturbo and inquire where one might be located. Good luck!
Is it not possible to obtain the same "RENOLD" after-market replacement as was used previously? That looks like a great source of reference for anyone wishing to follow. Tender, the answer is out there but you're probably going to have to work for it! Good luck and enjoy.
You don't want those. They are the exact reason so many of those motors blew up. If you want the right parts and the right information you need a Lamborghini specialist, not advice on the internet and not parts from someone who has no real knowledge of the product. The fact that they are still running that picture and still trying to source that part is proof of their lack of product knowledge.
Cam drive system on the Lambo motors is a very high maintenance area. Ours has 28,000 kilometers and I just finished rebuilding it for the second time.
