    Hello gents. I’ve had to buy some electric motor parts from a company in the US called Electric Motor Wholesalers. I’ve done the TT wire transfer as they don’t take international credit cards or PayPal, which is fine, but they didn’t tell me how much their bank would take from their end. Apparently it’s $25 USD, and so my payment is short that much. Can anyone help out with a US based card so I can avoid another $30 TT fee from my bank? I’ll transfer the money to you first. I know it’s a big Ask. Feel free to tell me to FO.

    If it were HongKong Giz I could help no problem so keep that in mind....It seems strange they don't do PayPal friends and family as there are no charges to them whatsoever.....

    Next time Giz use OFX.com for your US transfers, you'll get a much better rate than any bank and make the payment via BPay. Choose the option to pay the receiving bank fees, to avoid the $25 problem.

    Thanks Steve. I’m going to call them again tonight and see if any of their staff have a PayPal account. If so, I’m hoping I can do a family PayPal transfer to them, so I pay the fees, and they can just give them the $25 cash. If not, I may have something else worked out, but thanks again mate.

    Painful isn't!

    I had a similar issue with a USA company, they would not take a international credit card, i phoned them directly, we had a chat, told them my life story etc lol, and they where then happy to take the card! Go figure,,,,,

    Use a 28 Degree MasterCard no double transaction or international fees

    What will really annoy you is when you part arrives and you will see it's Made In China, and you could have purchased it from Alibaba for min. cost

    Quick update. I spoke to the company again and tried to offer a solution by perhaps paying one of their employees via PAYPAL, if they had a PayPal account, and the employee giving them $25 cash. They said they didn’t do that. She then asked if I had a credit card. I said of course I do, but they can’t take international cards. She then replies ‘we can take international cards, just not for the entire amount’. I facepalmed myself so ****ing hard........
    Payment made.
    Thank you sincerely to everyone that offered assistance.
    (And we’re the dumb ****s for not having guns )
