I need some quick Tubi advice

My dealer has a Tubi Race exhaust for a 360 that another customer cancelled on, it's brand new (still in the box) and they have offerred a very good deal on it (installed). My concern is, it's the Race version - I actually didn't realize there were multiple choices. I've done a search here on f'chat and have read through the various threads, and I've visited the Tubi website but didn't find a direct answer to the question: Is the Race version (which according to the Tubi website is NOT street legal) something that I should NOT put on the 360 for just pleasure driving? I like the idea of a louder exhaust than stock, but I'd like to stay on this side of obnoxious. Any quick feedback would be appreciated. -Brian

 

Brian, is it the NGT version or the Stradale version? Both are on their website. I am not familiar with a "Race Version". The NGT is fairly loud but not ridiculous. The Stradale is quieter but still very sporty.

 

Agree I have the NGT on my 360 its loud but not unbearable never heard of a race version

The dealer is pretty sure it's the Tubi exhaust for the Stradale. It's already installed on a car that they are selling and the older gentleman prefers the quieter, stock exhaust. He said the tips are in great shape, the exhaust canister has some typical heat discoloration. I told him if he still had it on Friday that I'd drive over and take a look at it. They're suggesting they'd charge $2k installed. Probably negotiable.

How is the sound of the Tubi for the Stradale? I guess that's the real question. I expect the answer is most people like it. Opinions please?

 

I have tubi and i actually did not know there is race version and other. I bought the car alraedy with tubi. As i checked there is written on mine "Only for racing....". Anyway i dont care since the sound is just amazing and i love it. I just wonder if gas consumption is also affected by the tubi since seems to me my gas tank is always empty very soon ))

 

Assuming its in good shape thats a good price
