A few of my friends have been pointing out a voting problem to me since last night. Based on an experiment I just did, if you click the purple "vote" button and it doesn't do anything, then click again, it tells you something along the lines of "incorrect image verification, you can only vote once every 24 hours." Well the thing that is happening is that the "Success! you just voted for this person" message is not coming up the first time you click the purple button. It's just plain not showing up. BUT the vote is being counted the first time you click the button I believe. For safety's sake, go ahead and click it once, wait a few seconds, and then click it again and make sure you get that image verification error. Also, I've made it to 24th place! Thank you all for the incredible support!
I'm a huge Camaro enthusiast, so I have it on three Camaro boards, a Corvette board, a GM board, and I have all my personal non-car enthusiast friends voting as well. Without you guys here, I wouldn't be able to climb like I have. There has been a lot of support for me here I believe, and I really appreciate it . p.s. Check out the new pic... A few people have contacted me about a voting error, but let me reassure you that the votes are still working! If you click the purple vote button once, and nothing happens, and then you click again and it says "You can only vote for somebody once every 24 hours. Try again later! Incorrect value for image verification method." then you should consider your vote counted. What's happening (don't read this if you don't want to get technical) is the success message isn't coming up the first time you click, and when you click a second time, the coding (javascript or otherwise) is recognizing two things. One, it knows that you've just voted, so you get the 24 hour message. And two, it 'believes' that you typed the wrong image verification, because based on its coding, it is thinking that a second image has been generated and you don't match it (because you matched the first one). Hope that's not too complicated to understand, but that's what I speculate is happening. If you want to get around that problem, you can register on the site as a voter and login to vote instead of typing the confirmation code each time. Or, you can continue to just vote with the knowledge that your vote is indeed being counted! Thanks again to everyone who is continuing and starting to vote.

*Important news* I really need your support to get me on the Pick Up Artist. They are clearing the votes tomorrow (the 8th) for Round 3 and starting everybody from scratch (zero). Dude, I understand your desire to get on the show, but win the position on your own merits! 'Begging' us for votes is not the right way to go about it. Why should we vote for you; just because you asked us to?
I have no idea how the process works, but it looks like you submit videos/blogs, and then get votes if people like them.
And where do those people come from? They come from other people campaigning for votes just as I did. If my friends (and acquaintances) don't know about the 'election', how would they decide to vote? I'm not Barack Obama or John McCain; I don't have a billion people working for me to bother people on the phone, by mail, or on TV to vote for me, so I did the best I could. You really have to look at it from that vantage point. If you don't agree or care, then don't vote at all. It's the American way.
The actual voting system was designed to have outside voters. It's designed this way in an effort to work as a promotional tool I believe. If I want votes, I have to tell people about it, which in turn promotes the show. The average joe my age has a link to it on his myspace to drum up votes, but I don't have a myspace. Instead of spending all my online time complaining about my life on myspace (which is... I guess... why people have myspaces), I spend it here and on other forums reading about and discussing my passion: cars. So this (and other forums) is where I came for support. (Sidenote-- I'm not sure why, but Ferrarichat is the only place I've met what I can only call "heavy annoyance" to my updates to this topic (and the other one in the Texas section that got closed) and contact with people on here who voted for me previously. Instead of members telling me to buzz off or ignoring me, they complained for whatever reason to a moderator. To which all I can say is... "Huh? Do you call the cops on the girlscouts when they knock on your door too?") The voting is now over for all but three people on the site, and the casting directors have chosen their favorites (not yet revealed). They are now only trying to pick the number one guy from a group of three. So my 'campaigning' is done. I should know by the end of Monday if I was chosen or not. Let's cross our fingers. Without the support from my friends and acquaintances on here, I never could have put myself out there and gotten noticed by the casting directors, so thank you all. I don't know how many votes I got from people on this forum, or who did the voting, but I know that had I not campaigned, I would have been one of those guys getting only 10 votes a day instead of 80 to 120 a day.
