I Phone 5 charger issue in 09 Accord

    After repeated trips to the dealer and new TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Sensors and control module the dealership determined that my TPMS light and system failure was due to RF interference from my iphone 5 charger. I changed cords (both apple cords) and it still trips when the new cord is plugged in. It does not matter if the phone is connected to the plugged in charger or not the light will come on and go out as soon as the charger is disconnected. Has anyone else had a issue with iphone 5 chargers causing problems with their cars and if so any suggestions on how to charge the phone in the car without interfering with the TPMS .

    Turn off bluetooth and see if that solves the problem. If it does, check with another phone. If all bluetooth radios cause the problem, turn off bluetooth. If it's just your phone's bluetooth, replace the phone or get it repaired.

    If it's not the phone, it's the cord.

    There is a micro USB to lightning converter (tiny little thing). Plug that into your phone. Plug in a micro USB charging cord. See if it eliminates the problem.

    Wrap the cord in wrinkled mylar or some other conductive material to create a faraday cage and see if that works. If so, tape it in place along the entire length of the cord.

    Turs out it was the dual usb charger from Sprint, I switched the plug portion to a cheapie version from amazon using the same wire and the light remains off as soon as I plug the wire into the sprint car charger the light comes on.
