What’s up, guys. A few years ago, I decided to put a set of 360 wheels on my Volkswagen Jetta. They actually looked better than you’d think.... So when I bought my new daily a couple months ago, I figured I’d continue the theme of putting Ferrari wheels on my daily drivers, and I picked up a set of 458 wheels. It’s a 2014 Audi allroad. Along with the 458 wheels, I put the car on air ride. Because I didn’t want to mess with the AWD system, I decided to go with 4 rear wheels (20x10.5 all around). The wheels have been powder coated “Galaxy Grey III”. It’s a very simple setup, but I’m very pleased with how it came out. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks. -Fred- (Old Jetta on 360 Wheels) Image Unavailable, Please Login (My new daily on 458 Wheels) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good for you! My Nissan emblem fell of my car in the back so I put a Pranching Horse sticker there. Looks great.
Allroad looks great. I am a former MKIV owner as well (had 2 x TDI's, both modded), ran Porsche fitment LM's on my first Jetta. Well done with the Audi.
I thought you asked to know what people think? His post did convey his impression, didn't it... or did you actually only want to hear cheerleader posts?
Well, I think both the cars look great with the wheels...... each to their own buddy. The newer one looks very very low to the ground though, seriously this time with me, does it drive well at that height?, can’t imagine there’s much give in the suspension, and the tyres on the 458 wheels don’t soak anything up at all....... my 458 was on the edge of hard ride, and it wasn’t lowered at all.
I have never been a fan of that slammed (or what ever they call it look) thing. Wheels are tires have always been a pet peeve of mine, so if they do not help the cars handling (whether that be in snow or on a track) they don't go on. To each is own I guess, but that would not be something I'd ever do.
Maybe the "air ride" is a lift system so that the car doesn't always look like a cartoon? Otherwise, the Ferrari wheels look pretty good on both the VW and Audi - AND he called them "wheels" instead of "rims", so he gets a little break there.

This. TBH I’m more impressed with how the 360 wheels look on the Jetta. I may have to advertise my wheels to the vw crowd when the time comes to sell! The 458 wheels suit the Audi, it’s just way too low looking to my taste.
Um.......air ride allows you to slam the car when parked and then raise it to normal height when driving. It's not a new concept. Don't know why so many are unawares.
This site isn’t real big on the custom “slammed” scene. theres maybe 2-3 guys here into it, and the rest mock them for it lol In fairness, drastic lowering isn’t my cup of tea either long with anything that negatively impacts drivability/ performance. I do like nose lift systems like on the Gallardo, however. Its more about oohing and ahhhing over 20 yr old cars with 2000 miles on them here.
Because this isn't exactly the pimpin' lowrider crowd, so they wouldn't typically have been exposed to it. My guess was just a semi-educated one, based upon some very limited, chance exposure.
That 348 is hilarious....the 288 or whatever it is, doesn’t look too bad tho. Problem with all of those cars is, it becomes more about the wheels than the cars. Your eyes can’t get away from looking at the wheels. Not a balanced esthetic.
I had to google air ride, in case it was some new Audi thing for All roads (ironic name with that stance), as my A5 s-line certainly doesn’t have it.
So you have limited exposure but still use the word pimpin to describe a car culture you know nothing about?
The 458 wheels look good on the Audi! I enjoy watching slammed cars but agree with Canuck that it becomes more about the wheels than the cars (not that it matters). I am too old of a fart to slam my car.
