I put my chips on red - even, 348 spider

Many, many thx to so many people on Fchat who've put up with me over the past 18 months. Of particular note are special thanks to KDS and TBakowsky, with dozens of other people also offering crucial assistance. If anyone's looking for a mid-tier to high-end car - KDS is awesome. And if anyone's looking for a PPI on help with an FCar in TO - I can highly recommend Tom - he did an awesome PPI for me a few weeks ago.

I signed the papers yesterday for the FoO 348 spider - red on black/28,200 km's. Should be here in two weeks. I have no pic's to offer but what's on their website, although continue to have my finger's crossed that Tom's camera offer's up pic's for me to stare at until it gets here. Estimate two weeks!

Congratulations.....!!

When the last dash of Alberta's winter is gone we can set up a Ferrari spider convention in Vancouver as I'll be coming out with my car to do some dealer visits.......hopefully in April....at the latest early May.

The next two weeks will be the worst........with any luck CN Rail won't go on strike and everything will work out OK !!

Oh wow! Tom, that was you? I saw the sold sign in the autotrader! I was just thinking to myself how a few Ferrari's are circled off as SOLD in the Trader this week (Yellow 550 , Silver 360 Modena, White Testarossa, Red 348 etc.) Glad to hear you bought that car. It's a nice local car with good km. I am sure it will be enjoyed more often out west.

Keith: Would be great if we could hook up before someone snatches that black spider from you - I might even be tempted to find an excuse to drive out there once the snow leaves the hills. It's a great drive in the off-season. think I'll borrow a Sat-Phone first though (just in case). Looks like the car's coming out by truck, but not sure yet. TFX Transport? something like that.

Todd: for sure - did you go to the FCA AGM today?

Vasco: Yeap - it's just about the perfect car for my driving habits - and good to see it's marked "sold". I've been hassling my lease guy for when I can consider it "mine" with all the inspection issues, Bill of Sales, lease documents, transport quesitons, etc... being tossed back and forth. I guess it's normal, but the price discussion took 30 seconds, and two weeks for everything else. Another two weeks before it's here. It's a small world, I see we emailed in Sept '03 on your ted/tan glass 308.

Thanks everyone, especially for saving me from some very big mistakes I was looking at the past few years!

TFX is a great transport company.......if you have any concerns call JACKIE at TFX.......she's the dispatcher there.......great girl.

Vancouver sounds like a plan.......somehow..........we just had a foot of snow here !!!! And tomorrow it is supposed to be +10 again so everything will melt...uurrgghhh. We'll figure something out.

I had forgotten! Profile update would be more fun with a real pic' to add though I just can't bring myself to use a picture from the website - especially after the troll using Jeff's website picture of his 348 spider.

the most fun, though, was finally being able to fill out the ferrarina owner's site registration page! woo-hoo!

Great to hear good things about TFX. Seems like a pattern.

Don't know about that Calgary <-> Vancouver spin yet - if you're getting decent snowfall now, the Rockies must be pretty intense. Maybe May before it's safe in an Fcar? I can probably get you a loaner SatPhone out of Calgary - you'd just cover airtime.

I doubt he would be able to afford it. He's broke. He had to sell his cuda (Nash Bridges) a couple of years at Barrett-Jackson auction. The proceeds went to pay off a couple of bar tabs in L.A., LOL!!!!!

I know, I was just joking. That guy was the coolest in the 80's too bad he went downhill. I remember that auction when he sold both his "show" cars. Pretty sad. If I am not mistaken, that TR didnt even bring in that much.

so far it hasn't melted - two days out of three on the road were in the rain. took these even though there's some dirt showing, and, surprise, it's raining. Arrived in pouring rain, drove to the BC-Inspection dealer in pouring rain, raining lightly today.

Any dirt is my fault - the car was spotless when it arrived.

the car came with everything and more, that I could of asked for. Paul at FoO was great.

That is just soo awesome. What a presence. Classic! The 348/355 are the nicest Spyder's in my books.......as far as modern F-cars go.
