What do you guys think? I saw this 04 Jetta in Craigslist and decide to inquire since the price was way way low. The picture shows AZ plates. I receive a reply from a guy who says that he is from GA. I was going to link the ad here, but it mysteriously disappeared. It was for a 2004 Jetta GLS TDI - $5,600, pictures were of a Silver car with Arizona plates. One thing with scams/frauds they nearly always refer to it as a 'product' rather than Vw or whatever. My answer run a mile

The super low price was already a clue for a car that Blue Books for $21K +. I was maybe thinking if he was local and the price was a typo. The whole thing about paypal and working with ebay really pushed it over the edge. I have seen text in that form from another thread here in F-chat for some other classified ad. Novelty as it may seen to us who can see this a mile away.....I hope it serves as a PSA to others.
Another clue is when the letter can be read with imaginary "fill in the blanks" where specific info like price & car model are concerned, making it easy for the letter writer to do 2-3 cut & pastes and have a new letter. They're lazy after all.
