Some day I'm going to upgrade my TR with some nicer wheels, I'm always looking at 360 Modena wheels & tires....had them on my last TR and really liked them. So I see a set on ebay that has no reserve...so I put them on my watch list...but like many during the holidays I got busy and forgot about them. So I thought I'd just check to see what they sold for....and guess what? They sold for a measily $100 plus shipping !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still sick to my stomach over this! A buyer is very happy and I'm sure the seller is not. Just thought I'd share this with ya'll....

I'm not sure what --- but, don't you suppose something is wrong (damage) with those at that price ?!

Well, at least those wheels weren't being sold complete with tires and sensors ... wait, uh, ... never mind.

This will make you feel better: you know that $30 per wheel in shipping really adds to the total cost of the deal.

Okay, maybe you did lose out on a good deal.

    Hey:

I bought these for my 1999 Honda civic.

The car is a little "rough," but with a set
of "coffee can" mufflers, a big wing,
these wheels will make it a fine ride........

I bet the seller ended the auction early and there was no winning bidder.

+1. Jeff, I concur, this is too good to be true. 100$...Come on! Hey, you were busy...Probably with your family in this Period...So what's better, a happy family or a good deal on E-bay?
Anyway the economy is picking up but there is still a lot of guys with Ferrari parts looking for a fast sell.
Cheer up and Happy New Year Jeff!

Notice that the seller has a "buy it now" on all other Ferrari wheels instead of an auction. Seems like they're just trying to get you "into the store"...

The Winning Bidder does 25% of their volume with that seller.

    Quote from their online activity:

    30-Day Summary
    Total bids: 4
    Items bid on: 4
Bid activity (%) with this seller: 25%

So 25% of that bidders bids go to that seller.
Assume what you want with that fact.

I have to ask: why didn't you at least put in a low but reasonable bid?

I mean, if they are worth $4,000 why not throw a $1,500-$2,000 bid at them, and if you forget or someone outbids you, so what?

The only thing you can really take away from that is that this bidder is a heavy ebay'er. 16 bids in 30 days. For a buyer, that seems like a lot to me.

You guys are reading that wrong. That user has four bids in total for four items. So in the last 30 days he has bid on four items with one bid on each. So he has actually only bid once with this seller (1 of 4 bids - 25%).

And to the original poster, I would highly recommend using Gixen for any bidding. It is free, and automatically places your bid with ~3 seconds left in the auction. I spend $2-3k a month on eBay, and it has never failed me.

    ah, thanks for that.

I can't recommend enough NOT to use this service. Please people, stay away. It runs as a hosted service which means that you must give them your ebay username and password. From their website FAQ:

Typo there: should read "No". They go on to make pointless and useless claims about SSL and other security measures, which are meaningless. The fact that they even try to present it as secure highlights how insecure it is. [I am a computer security professional.]

Just use one of the many many snipe tools that runs on your own computer. AT LEAST always put in a throwaway starting bid!
